As pretty as the flower field was, Karl was glad to get to the small river that cut the field off. He had spent more time walking across the field than he had originally anticipated. The bottle laying against his chest was a steady reminder that his soulmate was getting closer to him, which he didn't like at all. Hopefully he could make up time in this next section.

There was no bridge across the river, but Karl didn't mind swimming. He considered himself a pretty good swimmer and it would be nice to cool down in the water before he continued walking in the hot sun. It wasn't long before he was on the other side, looking back at the flower field he was leaving. He mentally bookmarked the field as a place to come back to someday when he wasn't getting chased.

About five minutes later, it was very clear that it would be hard to make up time on this side of the river. Karl was walking through almost waist-high grass, and it didn't seem to end anytime soon. He had no idea how he would camp out tonight in this stuff. He'd probabaly have to stomp some of it down to even put down his backpack.

All that Karl could do now was hope that his soulmate didn't know how to traverse through long grass.

If anyone lived in this flower field and saw Sapnap walking across it right now, they'd probably stop what they were doing and laugh.

"Shut up!" Sapnap grumbled for maybe the fifth time since we'd left his last camp about an hour ago.

"Sorry!" I just managed to get out before bursting into another laughing fit. "You just- you just look so funny right now."

The reason Sapnap looked so funny right now was because he had grown an emotional attachment to a canoe. Yep, he had decided to bring Tin Can along with him instead of just leaving it at the beach, which meant that he was currently staggering around, carrying a canoe through the middle of a field.

"I'm aware. You've already told me that a million times." Sapnap said.

"That's a little bit of an exaggeration." I commented, still laughing.

"Listen, I couldn't just leave Tin Can at the shore. He'd get lonely!" Sapnap defended.

"Tin Can is a boat."

"So? Boats have feeling too y'know."

"Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight." I said.

Sapnap huffed. "C'mon Tin Can, don't listen to them. Xey're just being rude."

"Man, I think this journey messed with your head more than I thought it did." I laughed.
