Stevie stared at herself in the mirror, locked in the bathroom, still at Lindsey's. They'd been talking for hours, she needed a moment to herself. It wasn't because she was bored of him, far from it, but a lot had happened in a very short period of time. Only a couple of days ago, he was just Lindsey, her best and most trusted friend. Now all of a sudden, he was her best friend, who was also in love with her. It had been years since Stevie saw Lindsey as potentially being something more. Yes, she had a crush on him, yes, she always found him attractive, but now... She closed her eyes, she didn't even realize that she was tracing her bottom lip with her fingertips, imagining that they were Lindsey's lips instead. Her eyes snapped open and she shook herself mentally. Words were one thing, she needed to know if she felt something. Boy, did she feel it.
Lindsey looked back over his shoulder, hearing footsteps. He smiled and Stevie smiled back as she walked around the couch to join him. She mindlessly sat down closer to him than she normally would have and once she realized that, she thought, it would seem strange if she moved away.
"I don't think, our plan to watch a movie is going to work out." Lindsey said. "There's nothing good on TV and our taste in this particular area is so different, we'd be here until morning, trying to decide."
Stevie laughed lightly, glancing at him as she leaned against the back of the couch. "It doesn't really matter. You can pick this time."
Lindsey was a bit surprised, but he didn't question her either. He wasn't used to getting anything his way with her most of the time. He made sure not to take too long, talking to himself mostly while he searched. Stevie couldn't care less, when he told her the title.
Stevie was bored about five minutes in, but she wasn't going to say anything to ruin the comfortable silence that had settled. While Lindsey's eyes were glued to the TV, hers were on him. So many thing were running through her mind. How didn't she see it before? Why didn't she see it before?
"What?" Lindsey asked.
Realizing that she'd been caught, Stevie nervously tucked a strand of hair away from her face, she shook her head slightly. "Nothing." She shrugged, biting into her lip.
"I'd prefer if you stopped doing that." Lindsey said it so seriously it made her laugh. "I mean it."
Hesitating only for about three seconds, Stevie lifted his arm up and she cuddled up against Lindsey, she put his arm around her. Unlike before, he knew, this time it was different. He immediately tensed up, no longer focused on the movie. Instead, he sat still, afraid that his hand might slip somewhere it shouldn't and she'd pull away.
Whatever was on, failed to capture Stevie's attention. She turned her head towards Lindsey, he didn't move. She lifted her hand up and placed it on his chest, she grazed the short hairs there, peeking through his deep V-neck shirt, with her nails. Her fingertips tapped against his skin until she reached his neck. Lindsey finally gave in and lowered his eyes to look at her.
"You're so bad." He said, sighing heavily and she let out the most adorable giggle.
"It's your fault that you're such a good kisser, that's all I've been thinking about for the past hour." Stevie admitted, wetting her lips with her tongue, making him shift slightly in his seat.
"Don't tempt me." Lindsey shook his head, still a smile slowly spread on his face.
Having made sure that they were on the same page, Stevie cupped his cheek and reached up to kiss him. It started out slow, this was totally new territory for them. With each touch of their lips, brush of their tongues they were learning each other. It was Stevie, who got more aggressive as her fingers slid into his curls and she pulled him a tad bit closer. Lindsey gained some courage too, allowing himself to lay his hand on her thigh. They made out for a good while until it was Stevie, who separated them, again. Lindsey was okay with that, he expected nothing more.
Stevie had a different idea, though. She moved and in one quick second was straddling him. "You don't have to look so afraid." She smirked, he gulped.
Her hands came up to touch his face and their lips were locked. It wasn't so sweet anymore. Her hands seemed to be everywhere at once; his face, his neck, chest, shoulders. His, though, as if weighted down remained at his sides. She even began grinding against him a little until she could no longer ignore how restrained he was.
Without any sort of warning, Stevie broke them apart and sat up straight, causing Lindsey to look at her confused and a bit alarmed. "You know, you can touch me, right?"
"I... I, uh..." Lindsey gave her a sheepish smile. "Yeah?"
"It's weird that you're not already." Stevie nodded.
Still, he hesitated. She looked down and reach to take his hands, she placed them on her hips. She saw him swallowing uneasily as she waited for him to finally do something. Slowly, a little unsure, he moved his hands at last, stroking her thighs up and down a few times. She felt them slither up her sides and then her back, one sneaked under her shirt, the other made its way up and squeezed her neck gently before it tangled in her hair and guided her mouth back to his.
But she stopped, a mere inch separating them. "That was hot." She whispered and saw a genuine, relaxed smile on his face.
