AN: This story probably has the least amount of drama out of everything I've written, but it's a nice change. I plan on writing a couple more chapters and wrap it up. Thank you for reading and for your lovely comments ♥

Lindsey had been pacing around his apartment for a while now. Stevie was out with a couple of her friends and it was getting late. She had asked him to pick her up at around 9 pm, but call first. So, he did and she said, she might stay a little longer. It was past midnight now and Lindsey didn't consider that she was just having fun, his mind fixed on her getting in trouble, that something bad had happened and she had no way of reaching him. The thought of Tom also crossed his mind. What if they ran into each other? It happened before. What if-
His phone started ringing and Lindsey immediately grabbed it to answer the call. He pulled his phone away from his ear, he could barely hear anything over the loud music. Stevie was telling him something, but he couldn't make anything out.
"Slow down, baby." Lindsey asked her. "I don't really understand, what you're saying."
"I might be a little drunk!" Stevie announced giggling. "I'm having so much fun!"
"Right, right, but are you safe? Are you okay?" He had to make sure.
"Mhm, yes, but I miss you." She slurred, but still put a smile on his face.
"I miss you, too." Lindsey replied. "You think, you've had enough fun for one night? Do you want me to come, pick you up?"
"Please." He heard before, who he thought was Gabrielle, yelled something out, making him wince.
Not without some struggle, Lindsey got the details of where the girls' night ended up and he rushed to put his shoes on, locked up the apartment and got to his car.
Since it was the weekend, the club was crowded by mostly people in their 20s, he guessed, as he scanned through them to locate Stevie. Somehow, she was the one, who noticed him first and called out his name loudly, attracting more than just Lindsey's attention.
"Hi!" Stevie jumped to her feet and wrapped herself around Lindsey. She then pulled back and stepped aside, her arm now firmly around his back. "Didn't I tell you, he's gorgeous?" Lindsey gave an awkward wave, itching to get out of there.
"Yes, Stevie, we've met Lindsey before." Gabrielle rolled her eyes.
"She's just jealous." Stevie laughed, whispering into Lindsey's ear. "Mmm, you smell so good." She said, running her hand through his hair. "Have I mentioned-" Stevie turned to face her friends again. "That Lindsey is my boyfriend now?"
"Yes!" Her friends yelled out in unison.
"Come on, say goodbye and let's get you home, yeah?" Lindsey cupped Stevie's cheek, making her look at him.
It took about half an hour until Stevie was done hugging her friends and telling them how much she loved them. Lindsey had to physically pull her away by placing his hands on her hips, making her take a step back. Once they were outside and, he had his arm around Stevie, mostly to keep her upright. It took a while for them to get to his car, but they did and Lindsey opened the passenger's side door, but Stevie chose the backseat instead.
"You okay back there?" Lindsey asked, turning the engine on.
"Fantastic!" Stevie replied, pulling her high heels off her feet. "Oh God, why did I wear these?"
"Because you said, you felt sexy in them?" Lindsey glanced at her through the rearview mirror.
"But at what cost?" Stevie groaned as she moved to lie down. "Wake me up once we've arrived."
"No! Stevie, don't fall asleep." Lindsey begged, shaking his head. "I'll wake you up and you're going to be mad at me for waking you up. I'll end up having to carry you home."
"I won't be mad, I swear." Stevie promised, already sounding half asleep. "Night night."
Lindsey exhaled heavily. There was no point in arguing as he turned to look back over his shoulder, Stevie was out. She had told him, she wanted to go back to her place, since she had things to do the next day, but Lindsey already knew that she'd have a terrible hangover, so he drove to his apartment instead.
"Stevie." Lindsey said her name, opening the door to the backseat. "Stevie, wake up." She mumbled something and he pinched the bridge of his nose, taking a deep breath. "We're here, come on. Let's just go inside and you can go straight to bed."
"Don't wanna." She shook her head slightly. "I'm so comfy."
Lindsey expected exactly this. It took a lot of convincing on his part before Stevie sat up straight, informed him that her head was spinning and that she might be sick. He lured her out of the car by promising to carry her inside like he knew, he would have to do.
"This is not my apartment." Stevie frowned once Lindsey unlocked and opened the door. "I told you-"
"Yes, you did, but let's be honest, baby..." Lindsey shook his head. "You're not doing a single damn thing tomorrow except drinking water and staying in bed."
She smiled at him, her arms went up around his neck. "You know me so well." She said, giving him a rather wet kiss.
"I love you, but you smell like a brewery." Lindsey pulled back, scrunching up his face. "Why don't I help you brush your teeth?"
"'Kay." Stevie nodded and followed him into the bathroom.
Lindsey took her toothbrush and put a dollop of toothpaste on it. "Here you go."
Stevie sat down on the closed toilet as she struggled to do a good job of brushing her teeth, though, her breath smelled a lot better, Lindsey thought, after she exhaled in his face.
"My make up." Stevie said, expecting Lindsey to understand what she meant by that.
"Yeah, what about it?" Lindsey raised an eyebrow. "Oh, you want me to wash your face? I don't really know-"
"Open the cabinet." She instructed and told him exactly which product to use.
"So, do I just pour some of this on this?" He asked, holding up a cotton pad. She nodded and he knelt down in front of her to start gently wiping the makeup off.
"You're so good to me." Stevie smiled lazily, eyes closed as he tried cleaning off the mascara the best he could.
"That's because I love you." Lindsey replied, planting a small kiss on the tip of her nose.
After they were finished in the bathroom, Lindsey helped Stevie to the bedroom. Of course she immediately fell onto the bed, no intention of undressing herself. So, Lindsey did that for her, too. He didn't bother with any of her actual nightwear that she had at his, he pulled one of his T-shirt down over her head instead and tucked her in.
"Can I get you anything? A glass of water maybe?" Lindsey asked, crouching down by her bedside, he brushed her hair out of her face.
"Yes, please." Stevie nodded weakly, her eyes already closed.
It took Lindsey only about two minutes to get back to her, but he found Stevie already breathing evenly, clearly indicating that she was sleeping. He smiled to himself, pressed a kiss to her forehead and put the water on the nightstand.
"I love you." Lindsey said before moving away. He didn't get to do that, though, feeling her hand grip his wrist.
Stevie opened one eye and looked up at him. "I love you, too."
