The door to Stevie's office was slightly ajar, Lindsey noticed, as he walked to the end of the hallway. He could have just barged right in, but he respected the boundaries they had set, separating work and their personal relationship, and knocked first instead.

Stevie lifted her head up and a tired smiled crossed her face, when she saw Lindsey in the doorway. "Hey."

"Hey." Lindsey smiled back, walking in. "You look cute in glasses, you know."

"Yeah, it's just the not being able to see well part that I hate." Stevie joked, taking off her glasses, she rubbed at her eyes.

"It's been a long day, huh." Lindsey walked around her desk and stood beside her, his hand on her shoulder, he bent down to kiss the top of her head.

"Mhm, not the first one this week." Stevie sighed, leaning back in her chair.

"Are you about ready to leave?" Lindsey leaned against the desk, his feet crossed at the ankles, hands in his pants' pockets.

"I should." Stevie nodded, shielding her mouth as she yawned. "But I think, I'll go back to my place tonight. We have that early meeting in the morning and the outfit I've picked out in my head as in my closet, so... If I went home with you, I'd have to wake up at like 4 am."

"Why don't you move in with me?" Lindsey just blurted it out without a second thought.

"What?" Stevie frowned, suddenly fully alert.

He wasn't about to backtrack. "I mean-" He shrugged. "You spend like five nights per week at my apartment anyway. Your clothes take up the majority of space in my closet already. Besides, you rent, I own."

"Not all of us are lucky enough to inherit a three bedroom apartment." Stevie gave him a look, but Lindsey just laughed, nodding his head.

"That's true. I'm serious, though." Lindsey steered them back. "We've been doing this for well over a year."

"Right, but we haven't even discussed what our future might look like." Stevie reminded. "Aren't you afraid that us living together will ruin our relationship? It's one thing, when I come and go, but I'd be there all the time."

"Oh no, how horrible." Lindsey rolled his eyes and received a slap on his arm.

"Are you even sure that we want the same things?" Stevie continued questioning his offer. "What if-"

"You can sit here and come up with every possible what if, Stevie." Lindsey interrupted her. He reached for her hand and brought it up to his lips. "I know, what I want. I've wanted the same things for years."

"Yeah?" Stevie swallowed uneasily, her heart began beating a little faster. "What's that?"

Lindsey smiled, kissing the back of her hand again before sandwiching it in between his both. "First of all, I want you to live with me. Then I want to propose to you and I want you to say, yes. I want to give you the wedding of your dreams. I want a family with you. 40 years later or so, I want you to tell our grandkids, what a romantic their grandfather was, when he took you to..." He shrugged, thinking. "to Paris or Rome to ask you to marry him."

Stevie chuckled tearfully. "You've seriously thought about all of this, huh? It sounds like something out of a fairytale, like a dream."

"I want this to be our dream." He emphasized, bringing a hand up to her face to catch a tear that had escaped. "I love you, I want to give you the world."

Stevie remained quiet for a moment. She then opened her mouth and he waited, only a shaky breath escaped her. She bit into her lip, unable to fight back a smile. "Why don't we start with us moving in together? I can't promise telling our grandkids anything right now, since you haven't taken me to Paris or Rome yet." She smirked then started laughing as he pulled her up to her feet and crushed her in his arms.
