The Ghost dropped out of hyperspace and Hera guided the ship towards the coordinates of the base Fulcrum had provided.

"Ghost, what is your cargo?" a voice came through the communicator.

"Shipment from Aldhani," Hera said, "transmitting clearance code."

A few seconds later the robotic voice of the rebel radioman came again, "welcome to Yavin, Ghost crew."

Hera guided the ship to touchdown in the center of the rebel base. She smiled as she greeted the deck officer, gesturing to the cargo to be unloaded. You stuck close to Kanan, keeping a cloak wrapped tightly around you, hoping no one would recognize you.

"Ezra, Zeb," Hera called, "help them unload the shipment. Sabine, make sure they know how to power up those generators without them exploding."

Everyone got to work, except you and Kanan. "She really has a knack for this, doesn't she?" you whispered watching Hera direct people.

Kanan chuckled, "she just likes being bossy."

Kanan nodded his head in the direction of a grove of trees just off the tarmac of the base. You smiled and followed him. He sat cross legged on the ground, gesturing for you to do the same.

You did, sitting across from him, "you know I don't want to meditate right now."

Kanan chuckled, "I want to show you something."

You looked at him suspiciously, but closed your eyes, reaching out and finding him in the force. He hovered there before he shifted the image you saw, you were back on Kallar. "I wanted you to know what I did, after the purge," he whispered, "I need to tell someone, but I'm not ready to show Ezra."

You nodded saying nothing. You watched as the batch led a young apprentice away from you and Depa Billaba. You heard the gunfire, but you turned away following young Caleb.

Kanan said nothing, instead he just watched as Crosshair shot at him, but Hunter lowered his weapon, allowing young Caleb the time he needed to escape. "Crosshair heard the order, but Hunter saved me," Kanan explained, "I owed him my life, but I never turned back, never looked to see if they were okay, I just - ran."

Kanan sighed in guilt, "I didn't even go look for Master Billaba, for you, for anyone, I just ran away."

You opened your mouth to speak, to comfort him, to let him know it was okay, but he held his hand up. "Please don't tell me I did what I had to do, that I ran so I could live," Kanan continued, "because I abandoned the Jedi code that day, I left you both behind, I was afraid and I ran away."

You sighed, "you shouldn't have run, but if you had turned back you would have been killed too."

He snapped his head at you, it was refreshing to hear someone say he was wrong. Of course he knew it this whole time, but it felt nice to hear someone say he was wrong, even if he lived because of it. "I kept running and never looked back," Kanan said, "eventually I found Hera and the others, I found a place to belong again."

"I did too," you whispered, watching a montage of Kanan's memories.

Finally the montage stopped, and you looked at the image in disbelief, "this is what I wanted to show you," Kanan whispered.
