Hours later you and the crew were back on Yavin at Rebel command. "Thank you," Bail said with a respectful nod, "I knew your crew could pull it off."
"We have bigger problems, Bail," you said, "something has been set in motion."
He looked between you and Kanan and nodded a deep sigh escaping him, "I figured it would only be a matter of time, shall I contact her?"
You nodded, "use my personal code, she'll know it is serious."
Bail nodded and walked away leaving you, Kanan and Ezra alone while the other unloaded the supplies. "Who is he contacting?" Ezra asked.
"Fulcrum," you replied.
"The one who gives us missions sometimes?" Ezra asked.
You nodded, "yes, she's gone back underground though, I suspect the inquisitors have been hunting her as well."
Kanan nodded in understanding, "is she a Jedi?"
You shook your head, "not anymore, but she was once."
"I can't wait to meet her," Ezra said excitedly.
You smiled, "yes, you will like her. But we should have a place to start if she is going to come out of hiding."
"What do you mean?" Kanan asked.
"I mean we should meditate and try to unlock the secrets of our enemies," you explained, "consult the other masters."
"You mean like the world between worlds?" Kanan whispered. You had only told him about your experience there, and he was determined to keep your secret.
"I think I have a better idea," you replied, "a much less risky one. We should go to one of the old Jedi temples, there are several hidden in the outer rim."
"There's one on Lothol," Ezra exclaimed, "it's where I received my kyber crystal."
You thought for a moment, "great idea, we should leave right away, Ezra prepare the Phantom."
Ezra ran off to prime the engines and Kanan looked at you seriously, "are you really looking for a way to defeat the inquisitors or are you hoping to find more information about the world beyond?"
"Both," you said, "I think the world between worlds is the key to something bigger and I need access to the archives in the temples to figure it out. But the inquisitors pose a major problem, for us and our friends."
"You're worried they will hunt us all," Kanan replied matter-of-factly.
You nodded, "among other people."
Kanan looked at you in confusion before realization dawned on him, "Omega."
"It's happened before," you explained, "the Sith hunted force sensitive children and tried to turn them into something else, I fear they will try to do the same again."
Kanan nodded in understanding, "regardless, meditating in a temple will probably be more productive than here, we need to go."
You smiled at his support, "I will go inform Bail to let Fulcrum know to meet us on Lothol, you go tell Hera the plan."
"She's not going to like it," he replied.
You chuckled, "I know, but this is something we must do alone."
He nodded and turned towards the direction of the Ghost and you walked further into Rebel command.
"Officer, where is Senator Organa?" you asked after looking around with no trace of him.
"I believe he went to the communications room, Sir," the officer replied, pointing in the direction of a small room.
"Thank you," you said as the officer saluted quickly and got back to work. You made your way into the communication center just as Bail was signing off on a hologram, "be safe," he said before the image disappeared.
Bail sighed and sat down with his head in his hand, he hadn't seen you yet. You cleared your throat, "are you okay?"
He jumped slightly, but painted on a forced smile, "yes, I haven't made contact with Fulcrum yet."
You sat down next to him, "you can talk to me." There was clearly something else on his mind and you knew he probably didn't have many people to talk to.
He sighed, "my daughter is going on her first solo mission to an imperial controlled planet, I am just worried."
You chuckled, "if she is anything like you, she will be fine."
He smiled proudly, but you noticed something behind his smile, a story of something more. But you pretended not to notice, his secrets could be his. You changed the subject, "please let Fulcrum know that Kanan, Ezra and I will meet her at the old jedi temple on Lothol."
"Back to Lothol?" he asked.
You nodded, "there are many questions that need answering, and I can only do that with the knowledge of the temple."
He smiled, "I've never understood the Jedi ways, but if you need anything else, I will help any way I can."
"Thank you Bail," you said with a warm smile, "I will keep that in mind."
He nodded and you walked out of the communication center and back to the Ghost. Before you even got inside, you could hear raised voices. "I can't believe you!" it was Hera's voice.
You walked into the common area where Sabine, Ezra, Zeb and Chopper were sitting, listening as Hera and Kanan argued in the cockpit.
"They've been at it for a while," Zeb said.
"The phantom is ready," Ezra said, "but I don't think Kanan is."
"You said we would do this together!" Hera yelled again.
You heard Kanan sigh, "this is different, I have to go."
Hera continued yelling, but you turned your attention to the others, "do they always fight like this?"
"Not usually," Sabine answered.
Zeb nodded in agreement, "this is new."
You stood up, "I'll go see if I can help."
Sabine grabbed your arm, "I don't know if that's the best idea, I think they are arguing about you."
