You and Kanan emerged from Kanan's mind and stared at each other in the real world. You sighed, "I have failed you Caleb," you said quietly, "I spent too long focusing on the things I've lost, that I forgot I was supposed to lead you."

Kanan smiled, "you haven't failed me, you just needed a push to see that you are wise and powerful."

"Thank you," you whispered, standing up and offering him your hand, "let's go do this."

Kanan chuckled and let you help him up, "do what?"

"Lead," you said confidently, strolling back into the rebel base.

—-----------------------------------

You approached the command deck where Senator Mothma and Bail Organa stood, "it is so good to see you again, Master (Y/N)," Mon said with a warm smile.

You nodded, leaning against the holotable with the rest of Ghost Squadron. Hera smiled at you, "Senator Organa was trying to convince us to take on a new mission."

"A difficult one," Bail interjected, "one that only the best can pull off."

"I was just telling them that you wanted to get back to Lothol as quickly as possible," Hera said, "and that we had other work to do."

Zeb clapped his fists together, "like cracking some more stormtroopers."

You chuckled, "there is plenty to do on Lothol, but what is the mission?"

Hera's smile could not be wider as she nodded for Bail to explain again. She was so happy to see you get back into your old self, to want to make a difference in the rebellion. Whatever Kanan did to snap you back into yourself, Hera was grateful.

Bail nodded and pressed a button on the holotable and a large factory popped into view. "This is an old republic outpost in deep space," Bail said, "our intel says that it was long abandoned after the Clone Wars, but that the Empire never collected the valuable supplies out there."

Ezra sighed, "this is a supply run? How hard can it be?"

Sabine smacked Ezra on the back of the head and shushed him, but you nodded, "I am inclined to agree, what makes this mission so difficult?"

Mon pressed another button and the hologram zoomed out revealing the planetary system of Kessel. "The outpost is circling the closest moon of Kessel," she explained, "a frequented place of the empire, the mining guilds and all kinds of smugglers."

"Wait, if it is so close to Kessel, why has the Empire abandoned it?" Kanan asked.

"Look," you said, pointing at the small orbiting the moon, "it is surrounded by asteroids from the constant mining of Kessel."

"Either the Empire didn't want to risk going through it, or they didn't think the supplies in there were valuable enough to outweigh the risk," Sabine commented.

"But in a position like ours," Mon said, "we have to take things as we find them."

You nodded, "so we have to maneuver an asteroid field, break into a Republic outpost without raising an alarm in a nearby system where we are surrounded by enemies, and get supplies out before anyone realizes we were there?"

Bail nodded, "see why we need the best?"

Hera looked at you, you thought for a moment. It was a big risk, but you were committed to being the leader you needed to be, you had to embrace all aspects of it. You nodded to her and she smiled proudly before turning to the senators, "alright, we'll fuel up and start devising a plan right away."
