Hunter turned away and walked to the cockpit of the Marauder, he had to admit that it felt incredibly empty without (Y/N) and his brothers. It was just him and Omega on the large ship, they hadn't set foot on land in over a week, hovering in deep space before they went to another random planet for supplies.

Recently, Omega had been avoiding him, which usually meant she was meditating, which is the one thing Hunter told her not to do. But if he was honest with himself, he would try to talk to (Y/N) again too. He missed her more than anything, her smile, her warmth, even her stubbornness. He understood why she stays away, but it still hurts to be without her, to know she is out there somewhere alone.

"Hunter," a voice came behind him.

He turned, "Omega, I-"

Omega shook her head, "it's okay, I know I shouldn't have been looking for (Y/N), I just miss her."

Hunter nodded, holding his arms out to embrace Omega, "I miss her too."

—--------------------

Later that night, Omega was asleep in her room and Hunter lay awake in his bed, like he did most nights.

He crawled out of bed, quietly walking to a box that he kept hidden in the corner. He rummaged through it, his fingers finally grasping a small holodisk. He set it on the floor and crouched in front of it, turning it on.

(Y/N)'s blue figure popped up and she began talking. Hunter barely listened to the words anymore, he had watched it so many times he could quote it. But he finds comfort in hearing her voice.

His mind drifts allowing her voice to soothe him, he loves listening to her talk about what she saw in the world between worlds, loves hearing about their son, trying to picture him and a perfect family lulls him to sleep peacefully.
