I woke up this morning with a notification on my communicator.

<Tango> Hey guys! me, Scar, impulse and bdubs are inviting you all to our beach party at 2pm today!" Tango posted on the main hermitcraft group chat.

<ZombieCleo> oo, i'll come!

<Docm77> nice, i'll come aswell"

<MumboJumbo> "sounds great! Im coming'"

And so it went on.

<Grian> "sorry everyone, but i cant come today"

<Scar> "why?"

<Grian> "im busy"

<Tango> "Aw man"

<Scar> "you always seem to be busy when we host these grian :("

<Grian> "yeah I know..im sorry"

<Grian> "I hope you have fun tho!!"

<Scar> "its okay :D"

I didn't want to go. If I go, they will probably make me take of my sweater, and would see my top surgery scars. I know it's stupid to think that the hermits wouldn't accept me for being trans (ftm) but it's just all the attention that will come with it. I don't like when everyone is looking at me, it makes me insecure about myself and just wanna leave and be alone. But there was also another reason I stayed out of the water. I have this stupidly big fear of water, im just always scared of what could be under me.

I heard another pling from my communicator.

<Xisuma> "hey, do you mind if I come over? I need to talk to you." He privately messaged me.

<Grian> "sure"

<Xisuma> "okay, I'll be there in a few"

I didn't know what X wanted to talk about, but he sounded serious. Maybe he found something out of the ordinary on the server?

After a few minutes I heard some rockets getting closer to me.

"Hi X" I said when I saw him swoop down from the sky.

"Hello Grian"

"What's up?" I said curious on why he was so serious.

"Why wont you come to the party today?"

I frowend. "eh, im just busy"

He looked at me. "Busy...you sure? What's wrong Grian? I can tell when people are lying."

Is this some admin shit? How does he know I'm lying?

"I-" I paused "its just I've not come out to the others yet, and I don't know what to do if they ask me to go swim with them."

"..hey its okay, I'll make sure that doesn't happen." He said comfortably, even though i was closest with Scar and Mumbo i trusted X the most. So he was the only hermit who knew i was trans.

"Thanks X, i really appreciate you." I smiled at him.

He put his hand on my shoulder.
"Hey, no worries man. We all care for you, i know everyone will support you if you come out to us."

"..i know that, its just the anxiety that makes it hard to tell them." I looked down and was caught in surprise when he wrapped his arms around be and pulled me into a comforting hug.

"Take your time Grian. Dont push yourself if your not comfortable with sharing such a big thing as this."

"I will. " I smiled to him
