Ateyo greeted neyteyam and lo'ak at the beach part of the island, today they were going to learn how to hunt fish.
"where is mä'reyna?" neyteyam asked heloing ateyo with the hunting equipment.
"oh she has a meeting with olo'eyktan and tsahìk about her future." ateyo explained before changing the subject to fishing, leading the boys into the water to show which type of fish is needed and how to use the equipment.
Meanwhile, mä'reyna sat in the olo'eyktans hut around a fire with her mother and father.
"your ceremony is tomorrow reyna, you will officially be tsahìk for the future clans." her mother smiled passing her daughter a cup of herbal tea.
"however we must talk," her father began, " i cannot think of anyone more perfect to lead our people, would you be able to take on both role of olo'eyktan as well as your role as tsahìk."
mä'reyna was filled with shock but she was also so honered, only once before had this happened in her clan's history. A female olo'eyktan and tsahìk. It was an unbelievable opportunity and afterall, she had trained for years to be able to step up and take her parents place. This also meant she would not need an arrangement, she could find her own mate if she wished.
"i would be proud to take your places." she sode smiling gleefully before hugging both parents.
"your people need a leader, you are almost 18 it only makes sense for it to be you." her father spoke kissing her forehead lovingly before the family dispersed their meeting and went their separate ways. Mä'reyna immediately ran to the beach, she had yo tell ateyo!
once she had arrived it was clear they were sill in the water, by clicking her tounge she called ateyo. Almost straight after she had done it the boy reached the surface of the water.
"get out you skxawng!" she laughed " i must tell you something "
"okay okay oh my eywa" he said sarcastically rolling his eyes.
soon the pair were stood on the beach, joined by the brothers.
"tell me then" ateyo said impatiently
"i am to be olo'eyktan." she said cheesily smiling, immediately being pulled into a hug by ateyo
"WHAT?? OMG im so proud of you!! olo'eyktan and tsahìk?? that's happened like twice in our clans im history!" he said releasing from the hug now smiling with the girl
"that's impressive well done" neyteyam spoke
"so you're actually a leader now?" questioned lo'ak
"not officially however tomorrow i will have a ceramony promising me to my people"
"cool" lo'ak smiled placing his hand on her back, " proud of you"
the pair smiled at eachpther for a moment. something was happening, something that should not happen.
"i bet zeekell wont be happy" ateyo laughed
"father is telling him now" mä'reyna giggled with her friend, seeing both lo'ak and neyteyams confused faces, she continued explaining, " he was to be my mate."
sensing some awkward tension ateyo apoke up once again, "i hope you will join us for reynas ceremony tomorrow." both brothers smiled and agreed to come.
"please tell your family they are invited too! the whole village comes together " mä'reyna spoke
"of course we will be there" lo'ak smiled at the girl.
