Mä'reyna sat with her legs crossed in the centre of her fathers hut, surrounded by women painting her face, braiding her hair, putting on her jewellery. Everyone in the village was excited, almost everyone had spent the day making food or putting up decorations after all the festivities didnt start until eclipse.
The girl had white paint covering her body, symbolic of her promise to the poeople.

Her hair was up in goddess braids with multiple rings and other sorts of trinkets braided in, she wore her songcord around her wrist with a new bead representing this new chapter within her life.
Her father proudly placed her head peice on, preparing to walk out into the people. The first festivity was to walk from the olo'eyktans hut to their home base tree, through the paths of the village people would be gathered holding glowing orange flowers greeting their new leader.
"i am so proud of you daughter " her father spoke before standing next to his daughter. Her mother was on her other side, the family began to walk greeting and smiling at the people of the kekunan clan. Once the family had walked, their people began to join in on the journey placing hands on their hearts untill reaching the main tree where Mä'reyna stood upon the stairs looking down at her poeple.
"may eywa be with us, granting me role of tsahìk and olo'eyktan of the kekunan people!" she shouted raising her dagger into the air as people cheered and celebrating shouting words of joy as the fire was started. People began singing the first songs and dancing in a circle around the fire, others sat scattered around the room or playing instruments however everyone was drinking.
After talking with her people, hugging people and accepting wishes from people mä'reyna made her way over to the sully family.
"I hope you are all enjoying our celebrations tonight." she smiled at them
"i am!" tuk shouted smiling happily at the girl
"are you going to dance with us tuk?" spoke reyna taking the small girl and helping her join the childrens small dance circle, hopefully tuk will make some friends instead of being cooped up.
"are you not dancing?" lo'ak asked as he walked up behind reyna
"i shall dance" reyna asnwered turning to the boy crossing her arms. "will you?"
"bro i dont know how" he laughed taking a step back after realising how close they were.
"perhaps i can show y-" reyna started before being interrupted.
"i see you reyna, you will be a strong olo'eyktan. please dance with me" zeekell spoke offering out a hand, to which mä'reyna accepted smiling softly walking away from lo'ak and into the dance circle with her people.
Lo'ak returned to the group his family was sitting with, they had befriended another family with children their own ages. A daughter, önea, looked lo'ak up and down before speaking.
"dance?" she said smiling
"i dont dance" he said, still staring at the way mä'reyna and zeekell danced together.
"you shall dance" önea spoke, "it will impress her"
Quickly lo'ak took her hand, moving to dance awkwardly. The dances were quite simular to the ones of his own clan so it wasnt hard to adapt. He soon caught the eyes of Mä'reyna, a small nod recived from her before she went back to paying attention to her dance partner.

WRITERS NOTES okay even tho this is a lo'ak fan fic i dont want that be the sole purpose for the writing so i really hope you guys liked this chapter!! hopefully it gives you some insight into the clans tradition's.
