Lo'ak and Mä'reyna were taking another one of they eclipse walks, only this time exploring the volcanic caves, lo'ak following her like a stray dog, not knowing where to go.
"these places are sacred to my people." the girl spoke softly smiling.
"you island is very different from my home," lo'ak spoke, "it is like a mix of all the places i have been with a volcano"
"you are lucky lo'ak, i dream of going as many places as you. you are free" as she spoke she turned looking at him.
"i miss my home."
"i understand, this is your home now. home is not a place though lo'ak, home is in ur spirit, in here." she said placing her hands over his chest symbolising his heart is his home. The boy slightly smiled.
"are you not free?" he questioned
"my spirit flys with the wind but my heart stays here with my people" she said turning back around being followed through the cave structure running her hands along the wall, lo'ak soon copying her.
"right sorry olo'eyktan " he said sarcastically, pulling her tail, she playfully hissed at him pushing him away.
"if you returned to your clan, would you become olo'eyktan?" she asked before turning back continuing to walk.
"i guess, i wouldnt be a good leader." he spoke
"why not?"
"my whole clan hates me, demon blood its all they see" the boy remarked sadly
"then you can take your place in our clan, son of toruk makto mighty warrior!" she said laughing, "you are more than your blood lo'ak, you must realise that to achieve your greatness." she said as he followed her coming out of the caves now dodging through trees as they ran.
"mä'reyna can i ask you something?" the boy said stopping running waiting for her to turn and reply
"yes lo'ak"
"if you become olo'eyktan and tsahìk, will you choose a mate?"
"perhaps, i will probably have to mate with zeekell." she said before quickly beginning to walk again being followed by the boy.
"you are almost 18 lo'ak, once you become a warrior you are officially one of us." she spoke, "you must choose a woman."
Lo'ak didn't respond, partly because he didnt know what to say partly because he was overwhelmed at the thought of being accepted somewhere, although he loved the reef clan and made friends there, he was constantly mocked and outcast. Perhaps this was the place he would stay.
The two slowly started their return to the village, after all tomorrow was the celebration of mä'reyna! they must wake up early.
