===== Y/n and Hu Tao's dorm 18:45 pm =====
Sitting on your bed, a comfy blanket over your shoulders with your computer opened while you binged the last season of inside job, now this is how you wanted to spend your winter break that's for sure, Hu Tao was pulling double shifts at the funeral parlor and you had finished editing the last part of your last group project. So for yourself you already considered this the start of your winter break, granted you still had three more days of class and five lasting before your trip to Liyue.
"Ah... this is the life- huh?" Your self monologue was interrupted by a message from an unknown number

You put on some grey sweatpants and a white hoodie and left the dorms to find Lumine outside, white thick tights, black heels, white dress and a black scarf around her neck. She looked really cute almost like a little doll, and so delicate and feminine too, you felt kind of guilty for leaving in such a basic outfit in comparison to hers, she took notice of your presence and waved
"Sorry for calling you here on such short notice.. it's just that it's getting kind of dark and I was kind of scared of going alone" she stated as you both started to walk towards the journalism building
"Sooo.. how long did it take for Xiao to warm up to you?" She asked looking a little upwards to face you
"Well not long actually, I kind of met him because I texted a random number haha..." she let out an ah sound from her lips then continued talking
"Me and him were neighbors in middle school, so we used to play a lot! He'd always get jealous if he ever saw me playing with other kids... did he ever get jealous of you?" She asked innocently but for some reason it got on your nerves
"No actually, but I did have this one time where we went out for drinks and he got so drunk I had to bring him to my dorm alone haha" 'that ought to press her buttons a bit'
"Oh my! You must be really strong then right?! So masculine!"
Those words echoed inside your head for some reason, sure you were never an elegant classy chick but you had never thought of yourself as masculine, you chose to ignore her statement and continue "We're majoring in the same subject and we work very close to each other so we hang out a lot and that's not taking into account how much we chat online too, I.. really like his company"
"..." no response from Lumine, so you mentally congratulated yourself

You both arrived at Lumine's building and decided to wait outside for her, that's when a familiar teal haired man caught your eye
"Xiao Xiao!!!" You waved to him and he followed you
"What are you doing here so late?" He asked
"Oh I'm just accompanying a friend who forgot her things, what about you" you asked curiously
"I'm meeting a friend for drinks"
"Oho! Look at you all social n' shit!" You teased
"Xiaooo~!" You shifted your vision to see the source of the sound to meet none other than Lumine sprinting towards Xiao giving him a hug as he looked visibly uncomfortable
"Shall we go? I know a really nice restaurant nearby!" She said clinging to his arm while she attempted to drag him leaving you behind
'oh, so it's her again' but you weren't having it
"Oh you both are going out? Let me join!" 'WHAT THE FUCK Y/N DONT SOUND DESPERATE!!'
"I mean.. sure why not" Xiao said, from the corner of your eyes you could swear you saw Lumines eyes furrow but soon vanished and was replaced with a smile
