Y/n and Xiao's hotel room 17:30 pm (day before the lantern rite) ========
Xiao groaned into a pillow for the 17th time in the span of 5 minutes, currently he was met with a dilema: How to ask you out on the perfect date in order to ask you to be his girlfriend.
After all, the day after the lantern rite festival you'd be returning home and he figured that if he was going to ask you to be his girlfriend he had to do it during the lantern rite so that it could be special (also because he thought that asking you in like your kitchenette or a café was too plain and boring). The guy had a whole plan thought out in his head and everything but the one thing he lacked was the idea of how exactly to ask you.
You had gone out about 4 hours ago to spend some time with your brother at an arcade in Liyue and was going to be back at about 18-18:30 so he had little time to think it out, this was going to be his absolute last resort to solving his problem but alas she gave in
