patrick finally back in the game!
gameday baby.
today was the first game patrick will play in since his knee injury. the last two games, patrick had been sitting out but i'm so glad he's finally allowed to play again.
i know everyone in arrowhead will be glad too.
my dad had spent the week with us, just helping the team out and stuff like that. though, the media will try and turn this around and say he was cheating.
dad never cares what the media thinks of him and that's what i admire him for.
our boys will be versing the chargers today. they're gonna kick their asses, i know that for sure.
i stand in the locker room, changing into my cheer uniform while gab and the girls all talked to the squad.
i was a nervous wreck today. why you ask? it's because last week i was caught singing in the freaking locker room by the entire squad plus pat and travis and they told the NFL that i should sing the national anthem for this game.
i was shitting myself.
i had practiced every day, every night, every morning, even in the car.
i was prepared but this was my first time singing in front of a crowd this big. when i was younger, i had sung a lot in talent shows but this is different.
this will be on tv and i'm scared that i'll mess up and everyone will hate me and i-
"julie, stop worrying," my thoughts were interrupted by gabriella as she put her arm around me, "you're gonna kill it out there."
"im trying not to worry, gab," i said with a sigh, turning toward her, "but what if i mess up?"
"you won't, julie," lea said, pulling me into a hug, "you're gonna do so good."
"okay," i exhaled, smiling at my two friends.
"great," gabriella sent me a wink before heading out of the locker room.
"you coming julie? the game starts in 10," emma asked me worriedly as i sat down on the bench in the locker room, my chiefs uniform on. i looked up at her and nodded, "i just need a minute."
emma nodded in understanding before she spoke, "alright babes but be out before kick off," i nodded as she and lea left the locker room, leaving me alone.
