telling him the big news...
after waiting for what felt like forever, the sound of the locker room door opening made me look up. in walked patrick who was dressed in full uniform.
oh, today was the day they had to try their uniforms on.
how cute.
"julie, is everything okay? the girls told me you wanted to see me," patrick asked me with concern and worry in his voice.
"um yeah," i answered, as i met his gaze and his eyes widened as he quickly sat down next to me, "what's going on julianna?"
how do i tell him? do i just say it? oh by the way babe, i'm one month pregnant. you're gonna be a daddy!
"pat, i'm one month pregnant..." i softly spoke as i began to cry.
patrick's eyes widened once again as he sat there speechless.
"i understand if you don't want this, i do. i know it's going to be hard with everything but, we can figure it out," i explained to him through my sobs, "say something please."
"julianna, of course i want this baby with you," patrick said with a smile as he grabbed a hold of both my hands while i began to cry even more, "hey baby, come here," patrick held me in his arms while his hands rubbed my back, "it's going to be okay. everythings going to be okay."
"is it though?" i asked him as i pulled away, still in his embrace. he raised his eyebrows confused, "first of all, we just got back together after one of the worst fights we had and second, our schedules patrick. you're here at arrowhead all day. i have that photoshoot next week for a few days. how are we going to manage all of this?"
"julianna, listen to me," patrick's hands cupped my face before he continued, "nothing else matters in this world besides you and our baby. i will be here with you every step of the way. my training ends this week and my schedule will be back to normal. i promise you baby, i'm not leaving your side at all," his lips pressed up against my forehead as he kissed it lovingly.
"you promise?" i asked him.
he smiled with a nod, "with my life."
"but what if i won't be a good mom? i'm only 24, patrick. i don't think i can do it," i admitted while looking deep in patrick's eyes.
"are you seriously doubting yourself? you're going to be the best mother ever, baby. i wouldn't want anyone else being the mother of my child except you. you got this, julianna," patrick widely smiled at me.
i pulled patrick into another hug. he's so amazing. i don't deserve him, really i don't.
"and you mr. mahomes are going to be the best daddy ever," i grinned at him while leaning in to kiss him on the lips. patrick chuckled as our lips connected.
my stomach did many flips as his hands traveled down my face to my back. when we pulled away, patrick rolled up my shirt and placed his hands on my belly, smiling happily at me.
i smiled at him as he jumped up and started yelling, "we're having a baby! holy shit!"
i laughed and let out a squeal as he lifted me off the ground and spun me around in his arms, "we're having a baby!"
