christmas wrappings

mom informed me that family would be coming over at 3 so that gave patrick and i enough time to go and get ready.

i decided to take a shower since i was a sweating mess. i headed into the bathroom and shut the door before undressing. i turned the shower on and hopped in.

oh yeah, this feels nice.

a few minutes later, i finished. i wrapped the towel around myself, blowdried my hair and then changed into my green cocktail dress.

patrick had took a shower in the other bathroom so he was already all dressed and was laying on my bed on his phone. i finished in the bathroom and began to do my makeup at my desk in my room.

"you look so beautiful," patrick spoke from the bed. i glanced at him through the mirror and smiled, "im seriously so lucky."

"stopppp," i said while laughing and hid my face.

"baby it's true."

after i did my makeup, patrick and i went downstairs, finding my mother in the kitchen making some food for the dinner tonight.

"look at you two," she said with a smile as we sat down at the island in the kitchen. my mom was wearing a gorgeous red dress with some flats, "you two look beautiful together."

"thanks mom," i smiled sweetly at her.

"merry christmas my love," my mom said to me as she gave me a tight hug.

"patrick, you look so handsome," she said while giving patrick a hug, "merry christmas." patrick smiled and hugged my mother back, "merry christmas to you too. thank you for having me."

"of course," my mom said before returning to the stove, "you're welcome here anytime," she sent patrick a smile before looking at me, "can you do me a favor julie?"

i nodded and looked up from my phone, "sure what do you need?"

she walked over to the fridge, grabbed some paper off of it and handed it to me, "can you do to the grocery store and get some dessert?"

an annoyed expression appeared on my face and i snatched the paper from her, "why can't dad do it?"

"because he's going to pick up gisele and the kids from the airport," she explained to me in a calm voice, "patrick can go with you, please?"

"why can't keith go? he's your little messenger boy isn't he?" i sassed, getting more annoyed by the second.

patrick watched our little argument unfold in silence as he sipped some of his water.
