The cover to my new book! ❤️ and the song I listened to 😻

We finally caught up to Vance, bonking him on the head as we did so. "Bruce, I'm gonna leave it to you to keep up with this cunt." I remarked, fishing out the apartment room key, 2390. "Are y'all ready to see your new home?" Finney squealed, starting to hop a bit. I entered the key into the lock, pulling open the heavy door once I heard the quiet click of an opening.

Finney bolted into the room, running bing me over on his way. He gasped loudly, starting to run around the corners in a fast manor. I glanced my eyes around, smiling lightly at my boyfriends enthusiasm.

"That's right. Boyfriend." I thought, happily smirking as I reminded myself. Vance immediately started judging it, saying "the kitchen was too cramped," or, "the couch looks like someone took a shit and didn't wipe." Whatever that means.

I couldn't get a glimpse of Gwen before she darted after her brother, roaming around the new environment in a fresh excitement. "So, do you guys like I-"

A distant scream and footsteps almost rolling down the stairs cut me off. "ROBIN COME SEE THIS." Finn yelled, grabbing my hand and forced bc me up the stairs as I tried not to trip.

We made it to the place he had been freaked out about, and I looked inside while holding my bow bruised arm from hitting the railing of the stairs.

My eyes immediately went in awe. Standing in front of me was a humongous room, filled with plants and many sorts of flowers. It was beautiful.

"Oh my god." I mumbled, sighing under my breath as I darted around the fascinating room. "This is beautiful." We heard, looking back to see Bruce and Vance in the doorway, looking through the sealed glass windows.

Vance picked up a plant, feeling around the flowers. "Uhm..guys?" He muttered, earning our attention as we all looked over at him. "Hm." I hummed, waltzing over to him slowly in response. "Theirs a gap between the dirt and the plant base." He grasped the dirt of the plant, discovering it was fake.

"Woah, what the hell?" Bruce cluttered Vance's shoulder , taking the plant from his hands and popping the fake plant out. He looked down in the pot, his eyes widening at what was inside. "It's..."

The suspense grew by the second, making all of us linger out of our skin. Before Bruce could answer, billy shoved his hand in the pot, bringing out a stack of money.

We all looked down in amazement, eyeing the stack as billy brought it to his chest. "This is 1000 dollars." He claimed, throwing it at me and grabbing another pot. I peered at it hopefully, promising myslef there would be a new stack inside.

He pulled out another stack, making finney scream in delight. "How the fuck did this even happen?!" I enthused, smiling from ear to ear. We all hugged each other and patted our shoulders, all smiles in the room. Expect for Gwen. I glanced at her, noticing a terrified look plastered on her face.

"Gwen? What's wrong?" I questioned, patting her shoulder silently. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words made their way out of her quivering lips. That is, until she ran out of the room in a blur, hollering something about "JESUS IS REAL, AHHHH"

After everyone had settled down, the small group decided to make their way to an open field park area, to fulfill their need of "getting out."

Finney sat on a broach wood plank, relaxing the muscles in his legs as his eyes dropped. The boy was exhausted. He began wondering about the lifestyle he had chosen for himself, his anxious nail biting going unnoticed by the distracted sense of mind. He hardly noticed when Robin stumbled up to him, holding a cigarette up to his puckered lips as he breathed in the burning smoke.

"Hola, mi querido!" He announced, plopping down in the "seat" next to him. He glowered his hand towards Finn, in offering of sharing the cigarette. Finney declined calmly, grasping at Robins shirt sleeve as he brought him closer. He shivered at the cold wind, biting at his cheeks.

"Dumbass." Robin pouted, surrounding his jacket around Finney in annoyance, but mostly worry. "You know, Bruce is gonna kill you if you get hypothermia." Robin implied, dropping the item and squishing it into the tall grass. Finney hummed in response, tapping his shoes as the grasshoppers sang from a distance.

"You know, it's starting to dawn on me that I'm an orphan now...but I just can't imagine how you feel." Finney gloated, squirming slightly as his shoes let the cold sting breeze around his feet. Robin questioned him lightly, lifting finney hair into a tiny ponytail. "Well, you have so good relationship with your mom. It must be killing you to leave her."

Robin deciphered the observation, only leaning against the crooked tree placed behind them. "Yes, it is. But I'm going back eventually, as mi Mamí and I aren't in the best place right now. This is a good break for the both of us." Robin complied, grabbing finneys shoulder and giving it a pinching squeeze before coughing.

"But you, ahh, you were amazing? You jumped through a moving car, can you believe that?" Robin interrogated, a new interest in the topic forming in his head. "Eh, I don't want to go to jail." Finney commented, making them chuckle together softly. "How are you feeling, is what matters, Finn." Robin spoke, gently poking at finneys face with his mounted glove.

Finney balanced his thoughts, trying to ask himself the same question. How am I feeling?

"Well, I guess, cold.. " Finney muttered, laughing at the obvious answer. "Hm, if I really had to think though, I guess I would say, I'm feeling...alive." He finished, smothering robin with a smile. Robins eyes glinted lightly, embracing finney as he cuddled with his golden brown locks.

"Yea, you look more alive today then you ever have. It'd a good..change." Robin spoke, carefully selecting his words of choice. He softly grinned at finneys glare, planting a cold kiss on his forehead as he circled him in a tight embrace.

The others came over, taking a seat next to robin and finney as they smirked at each other. There was a comfortable silence floating in the chilly air, causing everyone to feel peaceful.

Peaceful

.....

"How come giraffes are real but unicorns aren't?" Vance questioned, intrigued everyone in the pile.

"Where the fuck do you get these questions, dude." Billy laughed, patting his arm as Vance rolled his eyes, reciprocating the grin.

Finney smiled to himself, happy he had finally a group of friends.

An uncivilized asshole, popular golden boy, overlooked nice guy, unknown kid, and a "Bully"
And him. Just Finney Blake.
