To say the people of the Storm Realm hadn't given up hope would be a lie itself, it had been a whole year since the incident with the storm king and the ninja's leaving with Maddie and their teachers. The Storm Realm was barely holding together, Morro had made the ultimate decision and contacted a nearby realm which ended up being Ninjago where most of the civilian's of the realm had moved to places for a temporary home until the elements settled.

His son had been in a glass coffin for a year and despite Kane reassuring him that Zane would wake, he was really starting to doubt his husband. Even Neuro was struggling to maintain positivity as his own son was fighting for his life. The only reason Soren was still alive was because Neuro's siren was keeping him alive, Shade had managed to get the collar off and Neuro's neck was left raw. It was taking a long time to heal but the master of mind took a good month or two to get his mental barriers back up. The overlord couldn't access his mind anymore and they were all thankful for it but it had given Neuro visions of the possible near future. Some small part of Morro didn't trust the master of mind and although it was sad, Morro had beliefs that Neuro was compromised. Even though he had never actually said it out-loud, Cryptor could see the tension in his brother's body when Neuro voiced his opinion. This gave Cryptor time to work out whether he trusted the master of mind, soon enough many of them thought the same thing. If the Overlord, still lingered within the walls of Neuro's mind, was he safe to be around. While their focus had been on Neuro, none of them had noticed who was actually the one fighting mentally against the overlord, the devil himself struggled to maintain his celestial side. Kane ignored the headache trying to stay positive even in worse situations.

"Okay, I have to point this out. Why aren't the ninja responding, for god's sake. Cameron is four months old and he hasn't met his father yet?" Skylor exclaimed in frustration, passing her son over to Neuro who took him on instinct, Shade smiled down at the baby boy in his husband's arms. The two only wished they could hold Soren but the child remained in a coma in the chamber. Without warning Neuro passed him back and left the room in a hurry with a concerned Shade following.

"Don't look at me, I have no answer for that" Kane spoke up when all attention turned to him, he was lying on the sofa wrapped in a blanket shivering slightly. Morro frowned, stroking his hair, it turned out Kane could get sick and the devil had a fever.

"How are you feeling, dad?" Casey asked, coming into the room with Ash holding their miracle child close, Hope. Their daughter was in his arms.

"Terrible. How's Bullet and Missile?" Casey could only roll her eyes, "They are alright, haven't moved from my door" Casey said with a smile, the two hellhounds had been protecting her daughter and we're rarely seen without being near Hope.

Speaking of the hellhounds the two entered only to whine at Kane, the devil forced himself to sit up only to regret it as the room spun and his eyes glowed in pain. Morro was quick to help him lay back down, Bullet came to rest his head on Kane's legs.

"Any idea what it is yet?" Ash asked, his soon to be father-in-law, yep they would be getting married soon. Kane ignored the question as pain radiated through his head just as a shrilling scream erupted around the palace. Morro gasped when Sapphire came sprinting into the room, Casey took Hope just as Sapphire slammed into her brother's chest.

"Sap, what's wrong?" Ash asked out of concern.

"Bad man! Took over daddy!" She cried just as Shade's body hit the ground hard beside them. Followed by Cryptors, the two groaned being helped to their feet by Morro.

"What's going on?" Skylor asked, "We think somehow Neuro's mind has been taken over" Cryptor gasped out just as the said master of mind appeared in the doorway with black eyes and a pale look. Morro gritted his teeth, trying not to say anything. He knew this would happen. The being who had taken over Neuro could only smirk as the master of mind forcefully shut the doors, trapping them in, "NO!" Shade yelled out trying to open the door only to fall back.
