Everyone was happy that Kion was gone, except Rani and Nala. Kion may have hurt Rani, but she didn't think he deserved to die. He was a good lion, but something had corrupted him. Rani sighed.
"I miss him too," Nala replied. "But I killed him. I should have tried to find a cure or something. Now because of me my cubs don't have a father," Rani sighed. She wiped away a tear.
"He may have hurt me, but that wasn't him. Something took over him," Rani cried. Nala hugged her.
"My cubs are going to live without a father," Rani cried. Nala nuzzled her.
That night Rani couldn't sleep. She was haunted by the fact that she had killed her cubs father, and technically her mate.
Rani twisted and turned.
Eventually, Rani was able to relax and fall asleep.
