"How does it look?" Taylor asked her girlfriend as she ran her finger through her freshly cut hair.

She didn't care much about everyone else's opinions, Jenna's meant the most to her.

Jenna observed Tay's hair, taking in the shorter hairdo. She loved that Tay decided to change it up a bit, and she thought it was cute how nervous she was about showing off her new hair style to the public, but she was sure everyone would love it just as much as she did.

"So," Tay asked, a hint of nervousness in her tone. "Do you like it?"

Jenna smiled, then wrapped her arms around Tay's waist. "It looks great," she told her, pecking her on the cheek.

Tay frowned. "You're just saying that 'cause you have to."

"Yeah, and I'm just dating you because I have to," Jenna mocked, causing a smile to grow on Tay's face as she playfully rolled her eyes.

"So, you really like it?"

"Of course. It's perfect and I love it, just like everything else about."

Tay blushed at her girlfriend's words, then turned around in her arms so she was facing her. "What's there to love?" she asked.

"Well, for starters, I love your smile and your adorable dimples. I love how outgoing you are, your wonderful personality, the way your face lights up when you talk about music... There's so many things about you that I love, I don't think I can name them all."

"You don't need to," Tay said, burying her head in the crook of Jenna's neck after leaving a kiss there.

"Yeah, but I feel like I have to. If I could, I'd hold you like this forever," Jenna told her. "I'd shower you in compliments and never let you forget how beautiful you are."

Tay smiled, her lips brushing against Jenna's skin as she spoke, "You're the beautiful one," she told her before she looked up and snaked her arms around Jenna's neck. "Never forget that," she whispered, pulling her into a kiss.

The kiss was soft and short, but Jenna still felt butterflies in her stomach just as she always did when she felt Taylor's lips on her own. That was one thing that never changed.

Tay rested her head on Jenna's chest when they pulled away, and Jenna kissed the top of her head.

"I have something I want to show you," she said, and before Tay had a chance to ask her any questions, she took her by the hand and led her out of the bathroom.

Tay was wondering where Jenna was leading her to, but smiled when they entered her favorite room in the house, the music room.

"What do you want to show me?" Tay asked, sitting down on the dark red couch in the middle of the room. "New lyrics, a new melody, or, ooh, a new--"

"Okay, shh," Jenna hushed the girl, chuckling at how eager she was to hear what she had in store for her. "Just be patient and you'll see."

Jenna took out her acoustic guitar and sat down on the floor in front of Tay, who was staring down at her. She smiled at her then began to strum.

"I can't see through the stars in my eyes,
And I don't recall breathing steady,
Ever since you've been in my life

So, let me catch my breath
Before you steal it once again,
I should be dead by now

I swear it, on my heart,
You know I'd wear it on my sleeve
For everyone to see that I am yours,
And you belong to me

And nothing in this world
Could ever make me this happy

So, don't fall asleep,
I'm yours to keep,
And from here on in,
I'm giving it everything

'Cause nothing compares
To what we share,
I don't have a care in the world

'Cause even if it all came crashing down,
As long as you're around,
I'll be safe and sound..."

Tay's eyes glistened with tears when Jenna finished the song. She tried to hide her face from Jenna, but she had already saw since she had been staring at her the whole time.

"Aw, babe, don't cry." Jenna placed her guitar to the side and stood up on her knees. She pulled Tay into a hug and Tay wrapped her arms around her.

"I'm not crying, I swear," Tay mumbled as she felt Jenna's fingers run through her hair. She loved it when Jenna did this, it was comforting.

"You're such a terrible liar, it's cute."

Tay looked up at Jenna and smiled, and in return, Jenna gave her a peck on the cheek before whispering an 'I love you,' in her ear. She looked down at their hands that were now intertwined and she brushed her thumb over Jenna's fingers.

"How did I get so lucky?" Tay wondered out loud.

"Shut up. I'm the lucky one."

"I'd have to disagree."

"Oh, really?" Jenna challenged as she stood up, bringing Tay up with her.

"Yeah," she said, wrapping her arms around her neck just as she did earlier. "You are beautiful, talented and funny, and you always smell like cherries."

Jenna chuckled and slid her arms around her waist. "Do I?" Tay nodded. "Well, now I see why you love me so much."

"Oh, and you're an amazing cook. No one's better at making home cooked meals than you."

Jenna pouted. "I was supposed to be showering you with complements, not the other way around."

"Too bad. I guess you'll have to deal with it, beautiful."
