47. The Mist

Its creeps in slowly
And hangs very lowly
It darken that unnecessary bright
Hides you from that unwanted light.

It covers you whole
And often brings the cold
It's damp and wet
An inescapable net

But why would you want to escape?
When mist provides an unveiling cape.
Why would you want a bright sunny day?
When you can succumb to a dreary grey.

Where you don't have to pretend all is well.
Or fake the feelings your eyes fail to tell.

What is more authentic than a dark, heavy mist?
It embraces what it is, its not a ventriloquist
Making you act like everything is fuzzy and warm,
Concealing what's inevitably brewing, that inner storm.

It paints a sad picture, that dark, heavy mist
Ensuring you, light and darkness should coexist.
For even though light often represent hope
There is beauty in darkness too, you need both to cope.

So whenever its around try not to resist.
Meet it halfway, succumb to the mist.

Ryuk/N: I was asked by a guy I thought I liked to write about the mist for him. This is what I came up with. Also, turns out I don't like him, I just like writing for him 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️
