"You see... Miss Kamisato has a crush on Y/N."
(Back to Ayaka and Y/N... 3rd person POV)
"What is it that you need me for, Miss Kamisato?"
Y/N finally spoke up after what felt like centuries of silence, breaking the awkward ice between him and Ayaka.
"...Y/N... was that really you... during Osial's attack...?" She timidly questioned, still hidden behind those patterns of blue and white. A sigh was released from his seemingly sealed lips, with the knowledge that she would eventually question Y/N, plus Ayaka always needs confirmation. From the smallest things such as if she could hang out with him and for how long, up until this day, regarding his battle to the death against the Fatui for the fate of Liyue Harbor.
"We're really talking about that right now?"
Y/N crossed his arms, with a stern look plastered on his face. That significant event isn't at all the topic he wanted to bring on too many times during a conversation. Though, he was quickly replied by silence from Ayaka's side, forcing out another sigh from his dried up lips.
"You could have died... don't you think I would worry about you...?" Ayaka's whisper made its way into Y/N's ears, making him feel somewhat guilty of making her concerned for his life miles and miles away from home.
"I'm sorry, Ayaka." Was all that he could say. And it seems like, the response didn't please Ayaka to a certain degree.
"You're sorry....? Sorry does not make up for all the sleepless nights you have caused me... worrying over my best friend's wellbeing...!"
Y/N only lowered his head even more, the surges of guilt are once again overflowing his mind.
"I had no other choice... they were going to kill everyone... and destroy Liyue..." Amidst his exclamation, Y/N took a quick pause to look at the covers shielding his long-time friend, hoping for her to at least step out and face him. But it seems, his expectations were too high. Letting out another long sigh, Y/N turned around towards the Estate's door.
"I had thought... if you were in my position, you would do the same. Perhaps I was mistaken... Miss Kamisato. Say hi to Ayato for me."
And with that, Y/N began to walk towards the exit, pushing his hand on the exit's smooth surface. There was a slight hesitation in his actions, not wanting to end this reunion so abruptly and being on the Shirasagi Himegimi's bad side. He had never confessed this to anyone, but Ayaka was the one he adores the most, she was like a little sister to him.
Ouch. Sibling-zoned.
Aside from his parents, and at a certain aspect, Wangsheng Funeral Parlor's owner and consultant, she and Ayato were the closest thing to what he could call a family. He would do mostly anything for them. Even if it's... going against the Shogun herself.
"M-Matte...! Please don't go...!"
Y/N heard ruffling from behind the covers, which prompted him to turn around and check it out. As soon as he did, he was hit by something, almost knocking all the air out from his lungs.
The figure was holding his waist desperately, clinging onto him with all of their might, preventing him from leaving. Their frost-colored hair was in a messy ponytail, still having the scent of flowers lingering around, dancing their way to his nostrils.
