Later that day I was sat watching TV and dad came downstairs with Ann his wife. “What are you watching? It better be a Christian channel” he said in an unshaken voice but I could tell he was joking. “I’m watching MTV’s 16 and pregnant” his face became serious and commanding “change that channel, I never want to see it. Before you know it you will become pregnant” I chuckle my dad can be so dramatic at times. (He doesn’t know I’m nowhere near getting a boyfriend, most of my classmate have had boyfriends became pregnant and aborted the baby against my unwanted advise and I’m yet to even get a boyfriend, let alone become pregnant. I’ll probably still be a virgin when I’m 40). “Dad there is no way that I’m going to be like them in a billionaire years. I’m a pastor’s daughter. I aspire to be a prime minister someday. I’ll get married when I’m 26 to a respectable doctor. I’ll own a house and my company before I think of having two babies” he and Ann are laughing at me hysterically “ok, ok just put the news on for me to watch” I gave a warm smile. I’m crazy about the news and I’m engaged with current affair, I probably know everything that’s happening around the world, all the presidents, the prime ministers, the scandal's.

I put it on and sat' down on a chair opposite my dad and Ann. The news was about boys who got themselves in gangs and ended up killing each other. Suddenly out of the blue  dad asks “how’s Josh, that boy that goes to your school” I thought for answer has suitable  then said “I don’t know, we don’t talk” my dad nods approvingly at that statement “good, don’t talk to him, his mother issued a prayer request every sunday just so he would change, but he still  continues in his evil ways” then Ann unnecessarily adds “poor woman she’s been through a lot”. I know the bible encourages us not to hate, but I hate her so much she doesn’t even know him or his family that well and she’s making judgement on them, just because she’s now a pastor’s wife. I stood up, getting ready to go and leave this conversation. “I feel sleepy, I’ll go to my room now” dad looks at me and gives me a smile “ok sweetheart have a goodnight”. And that was it I was off to my room.
