I stood there with my mouth wide open and my jaw dropped. Stunted, perplexed, and every word the dictionary that means shocked. I have never, ever been spoken like that in my life before ever, not even by my mom. I never knew she had it in her, sweet and innocent pastor's daughter my foot she could kill someone with her tongue if she had too.  From then on I decided that I hated her, I despised her with every fibre in my been and wouldn't even care if she was killed in a fire and burned to ashes and then went to hell, I don't care who the hell she is how dare she speak to me that way with such audacity, no one speaks to me that way. I don't even know what I did to Chloe that was so terrible. I took my book and went to class cursing her as I was going.

 At home I was still thinking about it how dare she try and indicate that I had problems.  I was the one with friends, the most handsome guy in the school that girls kill themselves over and boys die trying to uncover the secret as to why I'm so awesome, while she's the geek with no friend, that needs to wash her hands every five minutes and that no one wants to associate with.  To hell with her, I'm never going to her father's church again ever in my life. "Honey, are you hungry, you haven't come downstairs to have your lunch" my mom was calling out. She is sounding weaker and weaker by the day I don't think that the chemotherapy is working. "Mom I'm not hungry, I had a sandwich". "You're sure?"  She asked. Yes mom I said losing interest in the novel I was trying to read in my bedroom (more because the words keeps becoming jumbled).

The next the day at school I had almost forgotten about the incident as me and my mates were messing about. "So now you're finally done with Chloe, who's next, a swim suit model, an actress, a singer" Derek was joking as we were out late on school night having fun. I laughed "man doesn't hate the player hate the game". Michael laughed "josh, that's so cliché ". Whatever man, I replied.  "Not even a goddess is good enough for you now" Derek joked and I hit him playfully on the head with my plastic bottle. "So seriously who will be your next conquest?" I laughed amused, "you're so dumb" I said only half meaning it. My other two friends Oscar and hector nodded their head in agreement. Then suddenly Michael had a devilish grin on his face as if he just came up with a genius plan. "What is it?" I asked genuinely intrigued and curious to find out what thought he just had in his head.  "You think you're a player huh and can get any girl you want". He said his eyes mysterious and serious. "So, where are you going with this?" are you up for game of truth or dare?  He asked and I lost interest it's a silly game intriguing when your 6 years and in teenage years only appeals to girls. "Truth or dare seriously Michael?" I asked no longer amused.

"Yes I'm deadly serious but in this case there is only dare". Despite myself I couldn't help feel interested "go on" I said. "We will choose a girl we think you will never be able to date and you have 2 months to go out with her and not just go out with her but sleep with her". I grinned there is no girl in the entire world I could think of that wouldn't what to go out with me. "I'm in, what's the reward".  There was a dramatic pause "we will all give you five hundred pounds if you do it which will make you 2,000 dollars richer.  But you will give us 200 dollars if you fail". What! Derek shouted, "Don't worry, mate he will never be able to do it". I laughed amused "I'm in. get ready to be 500 dollars poorer. So choose a girl guys". Michael whispered to the guys and they smiled in unison, grinned then giggled and laughed mysteriously. "So who's the girl?  i asked expecting one of those random girls maybe same girl I've even been out with. He smiled and said "the girl at your back". I turned and couldn't believe my eyes.
