i was getting ready to go to sally's house, i wore a blue shirt and black trousers and went down the stairs and my mom was downstairs’ wearing a hair tie “hey honey, were you going?” my mom asked curiously. “I’m going to sally’s to study” i replied half heartedly hoping my mom won’t make it a big deal but observed that my mom face had formed a worry expression and the last thing he wanted to do was to make her worry “josh, she’s my pastors daughter, she’s a good and sweet girl, I don’t want you to hurt her” she replied sternly. “Mom its ok, we are just going to study together”. my mom looked at him sharply and said “the last time you studied with a girl she got pregnant and had to have an abortion which destroyed her womb and now she can’t have babies”.  my  face went red with guilt “it wasn’t my fault she went to a fake doctor, and I swear me and sally are just studying. That’s all studying”. i grabbed his jacket and got ready to go. “Are you going to be ok, mom?” His mother gave a warm smile and said “yes I’ll be fine; your aunty is on her way anyway”.

i  walked up and knelt beside my mom with a scared facial expression on my face that surprised my mom “I don’t want you to die, tell me what I have to do, anything. And I’ll do it I risk my life to save your, I’ll do anything to take the pain away I don’t know what I’ll do if anything happens to you. I don’t care what it takes”. my mom held my face gently in my hands “you are already doing all you can sweetheart and I love you for that cancer didn’t kill me before and it would kill me this time”.  Then a middle aged lady, jane my mom's long time friend opens the door and walks in and i gets up and hug her. “How’s my handsome boy?”  she asks. “I’m good, thanks Aunt Jane” i answer with a grin on my  face “I’ll have to get going now” he adds and walks out the door but stand outside for a whilelistening (yeah guys do easedrop). and i  heard her say “He’s growing in a lovely young man” and my mom gave laughed and replied "day by day”.
