It's been much easier to write this chapter then the chapter in my other book... I'm not sure why. Maybe because this one is still new and fresh... Who knows. But I've been enjoying it a lot!! I hope you all do too. As always, I appreciate you sticking with the story Y/N!!

I wasn't sure which was worse.
The look Lucius was currently giving me from the other side of his desk or the glare his eldest son had given me as he sat in the chair next to me.
Lucius's hands were intertwined on the table in front of him, nostrils flared as he began looking between the two of us. It was silent, besides the ticking of the ancient grandfather clock in the far corner of the room.
Everything in his office was grand. I hadn't ever spent enough time in it to really look around. Not that I'd ever wanted to. Usually a trip to Lucius's office meant he was about to scold you.
Bookshelves lined with old, worn books, journals and scrolls. Miniature statues of all different types of stones displayed on all the levels. An expensive looking justice scale on his desk. A wing backed chair—
"I'm not quite sure who to address first."
I stopped my observations, bringing myself back to the uncomfortable situation.
Otto looked relaxed next to me. Not at all like a boy about to be scolded by his father.
He was an adult after all. I knew a little about him from Lucius, having mentioned small details about him here and there. He had graduated from Hogwarts, had a full career at the ministry, but somehow Lucius still had some type of control over him—if that was even the right word. Respect?
Seems as though Lucius had truly meant that when a Malfoy "turns 18 it doesn't free them from family obligations."
Lucius looked to Otto, deciding to start with him.
"You've made your displeasure with the current situation...quite clear," Lucius said with annoyance and authority, "You're concerns were heard—and very loud as I recall. Though I'm inclined to remind you that your opinion didn't change my position in the least. And it never will. What's done is done. My decision was—and still is—final."
Otto didn't cower from his father's stare—even held it with an impressive amount of ease—-or at least the appearance of ease.
"I don't want to hear another word of it from you. I don't want to hear that you said anything about it to her. You won't be chasing her out. You will not be making decisions that aren't yours to make. I will not tolerate it, Otto. All I want to hear out of your mouth right now is 'yes' to this next question. Do you understand what I'm saying...or not?"
"Yes. I understand," Otto said to his father with calm but I saw his jaw tick.
Lucius sat back and exhaled, pinching in between his brows with his eyes closed.
His exhaustion was evident—it was very late at night.
Then he leaned on one arm rest, as he put his pointer finger on his mouth and considered us both for a few seconds.
"You can go now," he pointed at Otto, then looked to me.
I held my breath.
Otto stood up.
"And close the door behind you," Lucius demanded with a glance at him.
Otto's retreating steps made their way out of the room—then the door closed.
