****Valentina's POV****
This is it. This is the moment I've been psyching myself up for, for what feels like years. Unbeknownst to me, my friends signed up for this show months ago on my behalf and only told me about it when it got to the audition stage. Skip forward a few months and now I'm here.
The South African sun is blazing down as I step out of the jeep, the villa in view, as another one pulled up next to me with a guy inside.
"Hey, I'm Aaron." I didn't have to ask the question to know he was Australian. His height towering over my own as he gave me a hug. "What's your name?"
"I'm Valentina, call me Val though." We started walking towards the villa, where you could already hear music being played.
"Val, I like it. You nervous?"
"Only a bit." It wasn't the meeting people that got me nervous, it was what came after that.
Having a quick peek around the villa, we made our way up to the balcony, slightly pausing at the door to get a look at the islanders already here.
"You ready?"
"Ready."
The movement attracted the attention of the islanders as we arrived at the barrier. "G'day mate."
"Who's ready to really get this party started." I added and from the initial scan I was definitely attracted to some of these boys. "We're here to spice things up."
"We'll be down in a second."
I swear I've never ran as quickly as I did to walk down those stairs. I just wanted to get those awkward introductions over with so I could have some fun.
They were all waiting to greet us at the door and I could instantly feel some of the girls eyes on me as I individually hugged all the guys. "Welcome to Love Island."
"Thank you, do you fancy going for a chat in the pool?" I would have loved to have got to introduce myself to the girls but they were already walking off with Aaron.
"Lets go."
Taking the boys all over to the pool, I sat myself down between who I think were Haris and Kai, although if I was being honest I couldn't really remember their names.
"You're going to have to tell me your names again because I've already forgot."
"So I'm Haris."
"I'm Tom."
"I'm Kai."
"Shaq."
"Ron."
"And I'm Will."
I couldn't really separate any of them right now, they were all good looking and I wanted to give them all the time of day.
"Where is your accent from?" Tom asked.
