some vocab words u'll have to know for soon chapters:
event-obvious ig, think of this like a category
heat- each event has heats, sections so enough people can swim
lane-each lane with a number in which the swimmer races in
block-the diving thing swimmers jump off of
so like lets say 50 ppl sign up for an event, but the pool only has 10 lanes. so they'll have to be 5 heats. if ur racing in this event, your heat and lane might be something like "h2, l5" depending on ur speed and age.
usually, the fastest/oldest people are in the first heats; the fastest swimmers being in the center lanes which are normally 4 and 5
