NIALL POV

"This is so exciting!" Jordon cried out, walking around in his graduation gown. "Haha, we made it, all those horrible four years of highschool." I said proudly.

Okay well, it wasn't too bad, it brought my friends and I closer than ever. We've gone through rough times, like staying up all night working on a project together that was due the next day, because we procrastinated all week. We've had to pull all nighters to write some long-ass reasearch papers. Jordon was on the basketball team, and when they lost, we cried together. When Jen got dumped by some jerk, I stayed with her to cheer her up.

That was high school.

The music began playing, graduates walked down the isle in pairs: boy and girl. By the time everyone made it to their seats, we were cued to sit down and listen to some speech. So many emotions were going through my head: Happiness, sadness, excitement, anxiety.

Our principal was done giving his speech and the valedictorian came up to say a word to all of us seniors.

"Dear students of the graduating class of 2013.

Thank you for this opportunity to speak to you all as a whole, it's almost impossible to believe that we'll be in college the next time we step into a classroom.

I'd like to thank our parents and guardians for being there for us, guiding us, and supporting us. I'd also like to thank the school faculty and staff giving us a piece of everything that we will take with us into college, and further on. When we first came to this school, we were all worried about so many things: finding friends, meeting new teachers, new rules, and becoming new people ourselves.

Some of us were willing to adapt to the new environment, and others were still holding on to their old values. In time, we progressed as individuals to form a unified community. However, it doesn't matter whether you have been accepted each other or not, because tonight, we are here to graduate as a united whole.

Parents invited and teachers, thank you for listening to this speech. Congratulations to the class of 2013, we did it!"

We all threw our caps into the air after the speech. "Niall, come let me take a picture of you! Your parents are going to be so proud of you." Aunt Lisa said. I smiled to the camera.

*Flash*

[Morning]

I looked at the clock. 10:24 AM. Yet, I'm still tired, I think I'll sleep a little more, after all I don't have to worry about school anymore right now. It's finally summer. But that's when it hit me. I have the whole entire summer now, I shouldn't be wasting all this time, I could be doing something useful.

I grabbed my phone and called Jen, "Hey Niall, why are you up so early." I heard Jen say, like she just woke up. "Jen, it's summer, let's go out and do something now!" I shout excitedly. I didn't want to waste a bit of this summer. I want to make this the best one of my life before college starts, and we won't have time for anything anymore.

"Okay, Niall. I'll go wake up Jordon, but he's not going to be happy." She said, and then we hung up. Hmm, where should we go today?  I thought for a while. We should go to the beach! I wanted to go swimming right now, and float on the water.

"This is nice." I said, as we walked towards the beach. "Yeah, I guess, it doesn't look too crowded today." Jen said, as she walked over the a spot and set down a towel and laid on it.

"Jordon, come on let's go swimming!" I said to him. "Okay, hang on, you go first." He said, and without any hesitation, I ran into the cool water. I floated on my back and closed my eyes, letting all my stress escape from my body.
