ZAYN POV
[9/13/13]
Finally, it's Friday. After another long week. I look over to Niall's bed. Empty. I wonder where he went so early. My phone vibrated, who could possibly be calling me this early?? I looked at the caller ID, and it said Perrie. My ex-girlfriend. What does she want? I answered the phone.
"Zayn." I heard a voice sob my name out. "Perrie? Is that you?" I asked.
"Zayn I want to see you Zayn." she cried. "I don't want to live anymore." she sobbed again. "What? Perrie what's wrong?"
"I need to see you Zayn. Please come to the park right now." And then she hung up.
Thoughts started to race through my head, she said she didn't want to live anymore, what is going on? Without hesitation, I headed out to the parking lot, and got in my car. I drove for five minutes, and reached the park. The place where Perrie and I broke up.
I saw Perrie sitting on a bench crying, and the sight stung me. I didn't like to see anyone cry. It broke my heart. "Zayn!" She cried, and ran up to me crying. "What's wrong Perrie?" I asked.
"Michael broke up with me." She said crying into my shoulders. "He was cheating on me the whole time with my bestfriend." I was a bit shocked to think that the Michael I know would be cheating. I didn't think he was the type to do that. Maybe I hadn't really known him that well afterall.
"Zayn, I don't want to be alone, I have no one now except for you." Perrie said hugging me tighter. "Okay, Perrie, I'll stay with you today." I reluctantly replied. To be honest, I didn't want to be here, but I was afraid that Perrie might do something crazy if I left her.
"Zayn, I missed you. I don't know why I broke up with you. I'm sorry, will you take me back?" She whispered into my ears. "Perrie, I can't, I'm with someone else already." I said.
"No Zayn, I love you. I loved you first." Perrie said. "Please." I can't do this to Niall, I love Niall now, I don't like Perrie that way anymore. "I'm sorry Perrie." I said. I tried to walk away, to my car, I looked back. I saw Perrie holding a razor, and pulling it up to her wrist.
"PERRIE NO!" I screamed running back, and knocked the razor out of her hand. "What the fuck are you doing Perrie." I shouted. "No one cares about me anymore, I have nothing left to live for. Give me back the razor." She screamed.
"Stop it Perrie. You think dying is going to solve all your problems. What will your family think?!" I yelled at her. "Zayn, please. Don't leave me." She said quietly. I sighed, and decided to take her home. I had to stay with her or else she would attempt something else.
We got into my car and drove back to her apartment. She was asleep in the car, so I carried her in, and laid her on the bed. She suddenly grabbed my arm, "Don't go Zayn, stay here with me." So I sat down next to her, and she held onto my hand.
"Perrie, I have to go though." I whisper, but she shook her head, and started to cry. "No Zayn, please. Just stay with me today. I don't want to be alone."
"Alright, then. I'll stay here then." I said. "Zayn, I love you." Perrie said, before falling back asleep. I looked at the clock, it was 12:50 PM. My phone's out of battery, I can't call Niall or anything. I got up and looked for a phone, but when I picked it up, there was no service.
I guess I will have to explain to Niall later. After about an hour, Perrie woke up, and came out of her room. "Zayn, I'm hungry, can we go somewhere to eat?" She said.
"Sure, what do you want to eat?" I ask. "Let's go for pizza. We used to go every Friday." She replied.
I nodded, and we walked out, getting into my car. I drove to the very same pizza hut we used to go to together. "I miss this Zayn." Perrie said. "I miss spending time with you."
I tried to ignore that. If she still thinks we have a chance at getting back together; we're not. We went inside, and the waitress led us to a table. "Hi, I'm Sandy, your server today. What drinks would you like?" Sandy said.
"Two cokes." I said. "Alright, I'll be back to get your orders in a few minutes." She said, and turned away to the kitchen. A few moments later, she came back with the drinks, and asked for our order. We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza.
In about ten minutes, the server came out and placed the pizza in front of us. "This is nice, right Zayn?" she said.
"I guess." I answered. I wanted to be with Niall right now, not with Perrie. I didn't realize I was staring into space. "Zayn?" She said.
"Yeah?" I responded. "Are you okay?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I was just thinking about something." I said. After about half an hour, we finished eating, I paid, and we left. "Can we go watch a movie after this?" Perrie suddenly asked as we got in the car.
"Can't Perrie, it's pretty late now, I have to get back." I replied. "Are you going to be okay alone now?"
"Yes, I think so." Perrie said, pulling her seatbelt strap over her shoulders. The ride home was a peaceful silence. No crying, nothing. Just plain old quietness. By the time we got to her apartment, it was 11 PM, I practically spent the whole day with her. "Thanks, Zayn. Thank you for being with me today." Perrie said, giving me a quick kiss on the lips and left.
It was another twenty minute drive to campus. By the time I returned I dragged my tired self to the room. I opened the door, and the room was dark, so I decided to keep it that way, and made my way towards my bed. I heard Niall on the bed sleeping already, and thought I would explain everything to him tomorrow, so I plopped down on my bed, not bothering to change or shower. I fell asleep as soon as I closed my eyes.
[The Next Morning]
Myphone suddenly rang, and I woke up. With my half-opened eyes, I could barely see the caller, until ten seconds later, Perrie's name appeared more clearly, and I answered it. "Hello Perrie??" I replied whispering.
"Zayn, I'm bored let's hang out today. Come on!" She shouted, with her voice blaring into my ears. "Not now Perrie, I'm sleeping right now." I looked at the digital clock. "It's barely 8, can we talk later?"
"Please." Perrie started to whine. I hesitated and got up from my bed. "Okay, Perrie. I'm coming." I said, getting out of room.
I went downstairs and headed towards my car again. I feel like I'm forgetting something, but no matter how hard I try and think, I just can't remember. My phone rang again. Perrie. "Zayn! Where are you??" She asked demandingly. She hasn't changed a bit. Before we used to date, we used to be close friends, and she always got what she wanted, so she was always this bossy.
"I'm on my way, just hang on." I said, hanging up. I made it to her apartment once again, and she was waiting outside on the steps. As soon as she saw me, she ran towards the car and got in.
"I was starving Zayn, let's go eat." She complained. I rolled my eyes. "Alright, then." As much as she was annoying. I didn't exactly hate her, even though she broke up with me. She was a fun person to hang around sometimes. I decided to go to McDonalds; I haven't had some since the trip to Orlando.
Perrie didn't feel like getting out of the car, neither did I, so we went to the drive-thru instead. We ordered a Big Breakfast with Hotcakes, Egg McMuffin, and two orange juices. "Hey, can we go to the movies today?" Perrie asked biting into her little biscuit.
"Sure, but I need to go back home to change first." I replied. After breakfast, it was about 11:20. I drove back to campus, and left Perrie in the car to wait. I ran upstairs, and rushed into the room. Hmm I don't see Niall; Perrie called again. I answered it, "Okay Perrie, I'll be down, I just have to change real quick." I hung up. Took off my clothes, and got into something else, and with that, I quickly left.
