“Long time no see.” You greeted while giving him a smile.
When Hange offered you a seat alongside them, it’s visible in his face that he was terrified and confused at the same time.
“Hange, what is this?” You are staring at him while crossing your legs and folding your arms.
How can he forget you when you almost killed him back then?
“Everyone calm down, she’s here because we needed her help. We will retrieve Eren with her lending us her power and strength. She will only with us for only three months and after we achieve our goal she will be sent back to jail.”
Hange explained causing only Nile to burst out, exclaiming,
“This is bullshit. If she’s with us, people will be afraid to us. No, I can’t accept her. She can kill all of us here with bare hands.”
You watched Nile while shouting, disagreeing with Hange. You can see fear in his eyes, poor thing.
“Don’t be like that, you’re overestimating me.” You said letting out a little laugh. You stopped when he threw couple of papers at you; you didn’t dodge it, and even didn’t flinch as it hits your face.
You gave him your dark glare and he stiffened forcing him to sit back. Even he was surprised to what he had just done.
He had witness how you kill people inside the palace and was now flashing before his eyes. He’s scared.
Hange took a deep breath before getting all the attention. “We will be discussing our plan with her, so please pay attention…”
Wait, what?
You couldn’t help but to froze on your seat after hearing all those information and plans. You were unable to comprehend it all, it seems impossible.
Erwin is dead, humanity outside the walls, titans within the walls, human turning into titan, titans are humans, what the fuck!
You watched them as they continue to discuss, keeping your brows wrinkled in silence. Trying to understand every detail they discuss.
Levi on your side appears to understand of how you were feeling and what you are thinking by just looking on how confused you are.
He leaned in closer and whispers, “Just keep in mind, the top priority is Eren,” and pulls back. You briefly glance at him and he was not looking at you.
They were risking everything just to get Eren back. Maybe that person is only their salvation.
The meeting concluded but you were still in so much confusion. You keep on thinking about the plan they had until you arrived back to Levi’s squad’s place.
You stood still while looking at huge feast on the table. “Feed yourselves up everyone,” unfamiliar guy said as he placed the large platter with an unusual dish.
“Thank you Niccolo, you’re the best.” Sasha commented, with a wide smile on her face, and Niccolo responses with a shy smile on her. Everyone sat down and began eating.
Levi look at you confused as you only stayed still watching them. “So I’m invited as well?” You asked in low tone of voice which makes them look at you.
“Don’t eat if you don’t want to.” Mikasa replied without giving you a glance. You only sigh before looking around the table.
The food served here was all far too strange for you. You don’t know if you can eat any of the dishes. You took an apple and started to walk away without saying a thing.
“Where is she going?” You heard Armin whispered, enough for you to hear. You raises your hand holding an apple still walking and then said, “Don’t worry, I’m not going to escape.”
Even if you wanted, Levi is here, he will only going to catch you, so you’re just being cautious.
You headed at the backyard outside and walk in the direction of the tree. You climb on it, sit down on a branch with your back against the trunk and eat your apple.
The scenery up there was beautiful and it’s not too windy. You've really missed this good sensation.
“We’ll going to use her killing skills to make her slaughter the enemy.” You took another bite of the apple and irritably munch on it.
“She should pay me with money if she wants me to massacre all the Marleyans, she can sent me alone though.”
You took the last bite and wander your eyes around. You notice Sasha holding a platter of food while she appears to be searching for someone.
You threw the apple core at her and it smacked her in the head to which it took her by surprised and almost jumped.
She glances up startled to see you, and you exclaims, “Head shot!”
You signal her to recoil before jumping from the tree. She stammered, “I…I bring you food.” You glance at the plate she was offering to you, even her hands were trembling.
“I’m fine, eat it by yourself.” You said and walked away leaving her. She was about to call you back but decided not to because she thought you might attack her if she persisted.
As the sun begins to set, you decide to go for a stroll. You reach the Shigansina district after minutes of walking. You were surprise that it was already restored like nothing happened.
When the Wall Maria fell and titans invaded that is the time you were caught and were jailed. It’s been a very long time.
You’re walking with your hands behind. Looking around, a lot has changed. The surrounding looks different than it was before; it was like you’re walking to a strange place.
“Hey, isn’t she the shadow killer?”
“Why is she here?”
“I heard she joined the scouts, and look she’s even wearing the scout uniform.”
“Run, she’s going to kill us.”
You keep walking, paying no attention to your surroundings. It’s understandable why they are acting in that manner so you just ignore them.
Every people you pass dispersed and were avoiding you it was as if you’re going to attack them.
You eventually arrived at the place where you lived before you became the shadow killer.
The house was still there but was already wrecked, no one did restore it. You walked inside, it was empty and dusty.
You loiter around the house; you were too young when you leave this place. You couldn’t remember how old you are back then, but you were in your early teens.
“I guess they didn’t survive.” You muttered. Just as you turned to go, you noticed dead flowers placed in the corner by the window. You walk towards it and kneel down so you can see it clearly.
Who left this here?
“Who are you?” You took a stand and turned around when you heard a voice behind you. You look at him and smile after recognizing him.
Even though he may be grown older, you can still remember his face clearly like it was yesterday.
He sure has grown up.
“I’m just passing by, sorry if I trespassed here.” You said and start to walk away, but then you heard him gasp loudly before saying,
“Y-You’re…you’re that shadow killer. I remember your face that is the face in the portrait.” He started to panic while pointing the flowers he was holding at you.
You sighed and faced him causing him to fall back and yelled, “Don’t come near me!” You chuckled while raising your hand, showing your defeat.
“Look, I won’t do you any harm. I’m leaving.” You turned around to leave. He might not recognize you but you were relieved that he’s well and alive.
