You look at Levi very surprised, unable to believe you are hearing it from him. You gaze around and see his squad still preparing, glad they didn’t notice.
You faced him back. “Why are you telling me this?” you whispered a question that only the two of you could hear.
He looked around, checking before facing back at you, he said, “I don’t know, I just wanted you to be free, isn’t this a good opportunity?”
You don’t understand on why he was telling you to run away, it is hard to comprehend. You couldn’t find the right words to response, so you choose to remain silent.
“I’ll just announce that you died here fighting.” The last words he said before walking away.
You watch his back as he walks away. The inside of the room is very busy, all of the scouts were wearing their new uniform, but only Levi was donning the cloak of the regiment. You took a deep sigh after he disappear in your sight.
He’s very right, this could be my great escape, but I don’t know anything, I am ignorant about this place, and…I don’t want to leave, I wanted to be in his side.
