“What do you mean?” You were stiffened in your ground looking after seeing Sasha’s name etched on the grave. You stare at it very surprised.

“Sasha is dead. A marleyan warrior kid snuck into the airship and got her.” Levi said as you keep staring on the grave, still unable to believe.

She is very kinda and even to you when you didn’t do well to her still she is nice. “I see.” You only muttered as you took a heavy sigh.

You and Levi remain silent as you’re in your way back to the head quarters. You didn’t dare to talk.

You were in deep thoughts, a lot of things had happen within that three months, you were able to see your little brother and father again even after such a long time.

You never regretted your decision but the only thing you did was regret not saving and protecting Ethan.

“You’re a big help to us, even at first I doubted you.” He finally began to speak breaking the silence. You didn’t look at him and couldn’t think of any response to him.

You two continued to walk, and merely watching your shadow as you walk, the sun is settling down.

After a short while of moment he added, “I might have doubted you, but I’m so grateful, everyone in the survey corps is thankful to you...”

You turn to see him but he was looking away, “…you prove yourself that you’re a trustworthy person. Even Mikasa, she wants to thank you but she was embarrassed and instead I am here relying on her gratitude to you.”

“People only see you as a shadow killer, and a mass murderer, but you have altered their perception to you. Can you see the faces of people here?”

You did roam your eyes around the place, as you walk, people at the street looking at you with amusement in their faces, and looked very happy.

“You’re a great person.” You turn to face him giving him a gaze of confusion. You were unable to comprehend why he is being talkative right now.

Is this his way of comforting people?

You averted your gaze as you smile; he never failed to amuse you.

You heard from other scouts and even other people that he was very strict, brutal and merciless person, but the Levi you knew is different, a warm and considerate person.

Suddenly you felt Levi’s hand sneak to hold yours. You were startled and took a glance at him, but he was only wearing his stoic look.

The warmth of his hand made you want to hold it forever and never let go. You keep your stare at him while walking.

Your journey here has come to an end, despite your want to stay by his side. You smile before saying, “It could seem sad, but I’m glad to be able to meet you, Levi.”

Levi looks at you and took a halt. The military police were waiting for you in front of the headquarters building.

It’s visible in his face that he wants to say something, he urges to talk but hold himself not to. You wanted to hear what he wants to say. He stares at you in silence rather than uttering the words he was about to.

Suddenly he encircled you with his arms bringing you inside his warm embrace. You were surprised and dumbfounded.

Your heart aches to feel his warm, you don’t want to let go from his embrace, and you want to be inside it forever. You move your arms to hug him back.

So this is it, where we are going to forget everything like it didn’t happen, right Levi? Damn, I really wanted to tell you how much you’re dear to me.

“Till now, I’m thinking why you wanted me to escape while we were in Marley.” You murmured to him.

He tightens his embrace on you, he then replied, “I don’t know what was wrong with me to consider allowing to flee. Maybe I felt…you don’t deserve any of this.”

You wanted to tell your true feelings for him and your thoughts are fighting whether it is the right thing to do or not but you've been dying to tell him.

Should I?

You now pull away from him while chuckling and even tap him on his shoulder, you said, “It sounds not like you.” He didn’t respond, and only stares at you.

Your heart beats fast when he was only staring at you. You curved a bitter smile as you said, “It was a great journey, Levi,”  then turn your back against him and walk towards the MP.

Nile looking at you very satisfied, “Finally you’ll get back on jail,” and handcuffing you. You ‘tch’ and rolled your eyes.

You turn around to look back at Levi before entering the carriage, but he’s already gone.

You sighed very deeply because you knew it would be impossible to see him again, and you won't be able to touch him once more.

In the end you're unable to tell him how much he was dare to you, well this is a goodbye.

You stare at the cell where you will be jailed until you die. You look at it with a faint pout on your face of disappointment. It’s very small compare to your cell before and is way more darker.

“You should treat me better since I contributed so much to the survey corps.” You said as you watch them opening it, Nile motioned you to get inside. You give him a glare before going inside.

“You were under our custody, if you’re treated well in survey corps but not here.” After locking the door, Nile left you with his few words before leaving, “Just die here.”

You look around inside. Even you dislike this place there’s nothing you can do, you will be staying here forever until your last breath.

You lie down on the floor bringing back your knees together hugging them. You’re now at the place where you truly belong. You wished for someone to come and save you.
