Kane and Y/n's efforts to re-weld the stolen faction with the original one have finally begun to bear fruit in many ways, as after only two weeks since the show in Marcion's base, thousands of those who once blagged their loyalty to the false prophet have returned to the arms of the brotherhood, besides to earn every single territory that once belonged to Marcion. Aside from that, Nod has taken control of all of Marcion's resources, as well as reclaiming many of Nod's lost technologies discovered in his HQ's database and even receiving some new ones produced and developed by the hiv-1-infected division. However, despite all the procedures applied to get the most out of the retaken division, there was still one obstacle that had to be dealt with before Kane could go any further with his plans.

Since Kane cannot yet risk exposing to the world, particularly GDI, that he is still alive lest he draw some unwanted attention, another suitable commander who can lead both sides in his stead is required. So, in order to fill up that void in the leadership circle of the factions, Y/n, who is already the second-in-command in Nod's military ranks, was promoted to become the highest ranked commander in the very one faction that believed to be as ancient as the prophet himself. The first that has ever believed in Kane's prophecy and the first that took up arms in its defense. The only one that could be best described as a " cult within a cult " and the one that its shadows have shook the pillars of the world even before the appearance of Tibruime in 1995.
