it felt like the world was crashing down on autumn. she was 70 years in the past. it was like a captain america situation but reversed. autumn knew nothing about the 50s, there was no way she could stay here but there was no way back either. she had to wait until the next time her cruse decided to act up. she just didn't understand how she went that far back in time, the further she had gone before was a day. that's it. not 70 fucking years, it was insane. this explained the exhaustion and the nose bleeds though. she was stuck here. autumn started shaking and her breath started to come out faster and faster. jimmy hesitantly grabbed her hands, noticing her state of panic.

"hey, hey it's okay. we'll figure it out, sweetheart. it's going to be okay." he tried to reassure autumn, but he didn't understand. there was no way out of this doom. he definitely thought she was nuts. hell, if autumn was in his place, she also would think the person was crazy.

"i swear i'm not crazy." she mumbled and jimmy nodded.

"never said you were." he gave her a small smile, still holding her hands. "come on, i'll bring you back home." autumn shook her head sadly.

"i have nowhere to go." she frowned and looked down. this really sucked.

"that's okay, you can come with me, we'll figure it out together." he offered autumn a smile. how is this man even real. they walked together to a motorcycle and he gestured autumn to sit down. damn, he drove a motorcycle? that was so attractive of him.

jimmy got on the motorcycle first and autumn sat down behind him. not too sure were to put her hands, she put them on his hips very lightly not wanting to make him uncomfortable. autumn had never been on a motorcycle, okay? jimmy started the engines, "hold on tight, sweetheart." he said and sped up right away. autumn really wasn't prepared, and she wrapped her arms completely around jimmy's waist. he was very warm it was quite pleasant. she closed her eyes and tried to forget about everything that happened in the past day.

jimmy slowed down and autumn opened her eyes to look at her surroundings. they were pulling up to some kind of circus from the looks of it. there were many colorful tents, with a ferris wheel and a carousel. everything looked a bit old and worn out but maybe that was just how everything looked in the 50s. autumn didn't know, and she wasn't going to ask. right in the middle was a large tent with a monster looking face and the words "freak show" written on it. so not a circus than. a freak show huh. autumn didn't even know that was a thing until now... maybe she should have listened more in history class.

the motorcycle came to a stop and they both got off. autumn was nervous, she didn't know how to act. like at all. she couldn't just say "hey i'm autumn, i'm from the future!" jimmy smiled at her reassuringly and they both walked up to what looked like the main tent were maybe people were sat, eating. when they noticed them, almost everyone got up. autumn noticed that the girl from before, esmeralda, was with the crew.

"is it true that you caught the killer?" a blond lady with a thick german accent asked jimmy with her arms crossed. she gave autumn a side eye but didn't acknowledge her presence more than that. autumn was happy about that; she preferred the attention stayed on jimmy.

"i technically didn't do anything. but yeah, the curfew's lifted." jimmy said with a shrug.

"the camp had a visitor last night." the lady said with a grave tone.

"edward mordrake." jimmy said matter-of-factly. autumn had no idea who that man was but he probably wasn't any good from the look on the lady's face.

"he came to you too?"

"not to me but he claimed his freak." autumn raised an eyebrow. okay jimmy, you cryptic man.

"who is she?" the lady pointed to me. jimmy opened his mouth to answer but was interrupted by jimmy a bunch of cars pulled up to the camp. everyone seemed on guard but it turns out that they were all here for jimmy. to thank him. this warmed autumn's heart. good. that man was golden, he deserved all this appreciation. especially after what he did, he truly was a hero. all the townsfolks wanted to shake his hand and he seemed so shocked by that, he probably wasn't used to people accepting him and his difference. jimmy turned around and smiled brightly at autumn which she returned.
