-Dream-

I was in the prison, in the same room as Samuel. He was standing directly in front of me.
"Hello." he had a small smirk on his face. "Come to visit me?"

"I know, rather surprising. Seeing as we're not all chums or whatever." I looked at the book. And then looked directly in his eyes.
"I'm surprised you didn't come sooner, actually."

"Really?" I blinked. Samuel was no longer in front of me. There was a chair instead. "I- you know why I'm here then?"
"We're like, best friends, right?" He was putting his hands on my eyes.

"We've barely spoke! We're not best friends!"
"What? I've probably talked to you more than anyone else here." That was the Samuel voice speaking. It had to be.

"Y-you're trying to scare me!"
"How am I trying to scare you? Why are you acting.. different?"

"What do you mean I'm acting different. I'm acting.. pretty normal, by my standards." I saw ropes. They were attached to something.. me.
"Well, I'm glad you came to visit me!"

"I don't know why you're glad, because I'm here to tell you what you did."

"I'm just.. I'm glad to see you! I mean, you've been a good person to me and everything.." everything flashed right before my eyes. Everything I'd done, because of the stupid freaking Samuel voice.

"Don't you know? I somehow.. hear your voice sometimes and that all wasn't my fault the entire-" his smirk was so visible.

"You're trying to make me thing I did those things, like it was all my fault. I've learned, Samuel. I'm not letting you take control again."
"But you did, April. You did."
"No, I did nothing, because.."

"You did them after a certain someone told you to and you did do them." My book. It was lying on the floor, covered in blood. I saw tally marks on the walls. He'd been in here for ages.

"You're right, you're right, yes, yes.." Samuel muttered. "Want to see what I've been writing?"
"Sure.." I said uncertainly. "What have you been writing? What've-"

That was my book. The book with every memory I had. Nobody, and I mean this, nobody could know what was in there.
"The truth is.. you helped me. You helped the certain someone."

"No, I.." I blinked my eyes, only to see Samuel. He was still smirking.

"You've been helping the certain someone! See, the reason you haven't been talking to me for a while, is because you can't remember what he sounds like. You used to talk to him everyday! You helped him!"
"I- I didn't.."

"He'd tell you things to do. You were like his little.. servant."
"N-No, I- I couldn't, no, I couldn't be.."
"But you did. Many times!"
"I- I don't remember.."
"You do remember, April. I- I'm not even real. I'm just you now."
"Wait.. me?"

-End of Dream-

I leaped out of bed, shaking and sweating. It was what, well past midnight? Nobody was awake. Arnold got up.

"What're you doing awake?"
"I- nothing, just a bad dream.." I said shortly.
"You sure?" he looked at me suspiciously. "You can tell me, you know. I can keep secrets pretty well."

And I told him everything. Literally everything, from the Samuel voice to the panic room.

"Oh, that's messed up. First, he's salty about the election, and then this? There's no way."
"Is there something you're not telling me?"
"How do you always know?" he was somewhat surprised. "Yeah, he told me about this. I tried to stop him, but.."
"I mean, you tried."
