"Where the hell am I..?" I checked my surroundings. It was very dark and made entirely of obsidian, so I wouldn't be able to break out without getting caught. My hands were also tied up and I was stuck to a chair.
"That's not important." a voice said.
"You. You did this, didn't you?"
"And what if I did? It's only payback for busting Samuel out-"
"Goodness, you're not over that? I can't believe you, Olivia. I thought you weren't so petty.""I can be petty, April. Especially if someone's done something wrong." She drew out her sword and hit me. I winced in pain. "Yeah, that's right. You deserve to feel the pain I felt when I found out you were a traitor all along."
"I haven't even done anything wrong! The Samuel voice-""Samuel voice this, Samuel voice that. I really don't care. You can't just blame it again and again and expect that'll work every time." she walked off.
I looked at myself for a moment, as there was a small mirror on the table. My face was covered in scars, and burn marks that still hadn't disappeared from "the great WonderTopia war". There was also.."Where'd that come from?" I looked at the other side of my face. It was a dark black colour, a little void-coloured. One of my eyes was also a deep purple.
"No, no.. this is all a dream, isn't it?" I thought and blinked my eyes. It was gone. "That's awfully strange. Must've been some sort of hallucination."I kept looking around, seeing if I'd hurt myself somewhere. Nope, everything looks fine. I tried to move the chair I was stuck to closer to the entrance, but it didn't seem to be working. Until..
"Oh, Olivia, you absolute genius." I muttered to myself, noticing a chest labelled "April's loot". I opened it, managing to undo the rope around my hands and found everything I owned. My sword, bow, axe, pickaxe, armour, and..
"Where's my book?" I sighed. "Not again.. eh, forget about it. I'm quite sure the real book's hidden somewhere safe."
I closed the chest and winced again. I must've not fallen in the correct way and broken something. Since my hands were free now, all I had to do was undo the rope that had me stuck to the chair, which was simple. I walked out of the room, leaving a sign for Olivia."You made a big mistake."
"I never realised how beautiful the view is here until I was stuck in that box for what felt like forever.." I looked at the sunset. The sky was practically painted with light pink. Some people were coming to my house. I hid behind a nearby bush, trying to overhear their conversation."Let's burn the house down." a voice suggested. I knew the voice.
"I can't believe you guys! There's still-" that's definitely Gwen."She'll be stuck there forever, with the way the room was designed."
"Nothing's impossible." that must be Niki.
"Escaping from there is, though! If you don't let me burn it, then I'm stealing her stuff."
"Thieves, the lot of you." I rolled my eyes, revealing my hiding spot."How-?" Olivia dropped everything in fear, as I loaded my crossbow.
"You'll see soon enough. I suggest you guys leave, I'm not really in the mood to kill you all." She left, but the others stayed.
"We actually wanted to ask you something.." Yashi said.
"Go on. What is it you want to ask?""Do you want to kill Noah, by any chance?"
"Why would-"
"He made this giant crater near the flag. Not to mention, he did sort of bust Samuel out too, so.." I mouthed a "what on Earth is going on anymore" to Arnold. He shrugged."Okay, I guess?" I wanted to see how this would go, what exactly would happen. It all seemed a bit much, but that's just how our friend group is. A bit much. I went inside the house and went to sleep.
The next morning was absolute chaos. Apparently, Roman, Niki, Tom, and Hailey had gone treasure hunting and found a compass which pointed to Noah's secret base. We were going to raid it later that day and hopefully "take Noah down", in Yashi's words.
Meanwhile, I woke up feeling absolutely horrible. I looked at myself again and noticed my left wrist was quite bruised up.
"That's not good, is it?" I muttered. Arnold got out of bed that very moment.
"I still can't believe we-" he sighed. "How'd you manage to sprain your wrist?""Remember? Yesterday, Olivia attacked us, and I fell and must've hurt myself pretty badly." I reminded him.
"Let me see, how bad is it?" he said, gently taking my hand and examining it. "Definitely a sprain, but it's not too bad. Should be fine in about a day or two." I bandaged it up, attempted to organise my chests again and went outside.
"I'm still genuinely curious why we agreed to kill Noah. Like, nothing about this makes any sense! Why exactly would he even blow up-"
"I know! It seems a bit suspicious, but just go along with it, I suppose. That seems like the only way to not get killed." We were walking to the base of operations, which was rather close by. Everyone who was part of the "Dragon Hunters" (the name of the group whose main goal was to take Noah down) was there: Roman, Niki, Tom, Hailey, Kevin, Isaac and Yashi.
"Did you bring it?" Kevin asked.
"The compass? Here it is." Niki put it down on the table. "Roman and I found it near your old house."
"So, the plan is simple. We find and we kill Noah." Yashi said. "Remember, we're going to raid it only when we know we won't get caught out. Does everyone understand?""When are we going to raid it, though? You did say in the afternoon, but surely he'll be at the base then." I facepalmed.
"How's midnight?"This isn't going to end well. I know it.
