I can't, as much as I try I can't. At this point I don't know why I continue this cycle, it's like I'm addicted.

" 𝐎𝐡, 𝐮𝐦, 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐡 "

" 𝐘𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐲? "

" 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡, 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧
𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐞 " I answer hoping to not be asked more questions

" 𝐈 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐈'𝐦 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐘/𝐧 " I said sternly

I was taken aback by her tone but decided to ignore it and continue having dinner silently, not wanting to push any further

Lately, I've been noticing the lack of food she's been consuming, at first I didn't think much of it since I too sometimes don't have much of an appetite but this is different, this isn't because she has no appetite

Before Billie and I started dating she had told me about her problems with food and that it caused her to have an eating disorder though she has recovered past that I fear that it has come back

After we finished dinner, even though Billie barely touched her food, I put the dishes away and tidied up the kitchen. Billie moves to the couch, putting on a random movie. After I finish cleaning the kitchen I cuddle up next to her as she wraps her arm around my waist.

A few minutes in I hear her stomach growling, I look up at her confused but she just keeps her eyes on the tv. I tried my best to let it go but it happens again this time I say something about it

" 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞, 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐲? 𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐮𝐩 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫 " I offer, trying to not sound pushy, knowing where this conversation might lead to

" 𝐍𝐨 𝐈'𝐦 𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐲 " she says nonchalantly, not taking her eyes from the screen in front of us

I grab the remote, pausing the movie causing her to look me in the eyes

" 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧? 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐩𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐲 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐈'𝐦 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 " I say softly

" 𝐈 𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡- "

" 𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞, 𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠'𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧, 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞 " The dry eyes that were staring at me begin to get glossy as lone tears fall down her pretty blue eyes

I pull her into my chest whispering sweet words into her ear " 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 " I reassure her

After a few minutes her sobs calm down she looks up at me, eyes red from all the crying she's done

" 𝐈'𝐦 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩 " She blurts out

My heart breaks at her words, pain seeping through every sentence

" 𝐈'𝐦 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐲, 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞
𝐧𝐨 " Loud sobs escape from her lips again, as I hold her as tight as possible

I feel a small nod on my chest as I continue to hold her tightly. It won't be an easy process but with all my love and support, I hope to help her recovery go easier.
