jisung didn't really know how it all went by so fast. he was just exiting the campus with a nice dress shirt on and all dressed up with his hair dyed back to black too. and then suddenly he spots his brother with his car at the corner of the gate, possibly waiting for him.
well, there was not really a way to avoid his brother and walk away from the car so obviously he had to pass by it.
so he pretended as if he didnt see the car, trying to seem casual and walking past it but before that his brother had rolled down the window.
"get in." seohun spoke and jisung had no choice but to look at him and acknowledge his existence.
"i can go by myself." jisung replied, but another glare from his brother had him opening the car door and getting in it.
"i didn't call mother, she called first." he instantly said once he got in, hearing his brother sigh.
"put on your seat belt." seohun said as he started the car engine. jisung hesitated at first, wanting to get out of the car but he thought it would be a bad idea. so he put on the seat belt as his brother drove off to their house.
after a long fifteen minutes of driving and jisung zoning out staring outside the window to keep himself sane, he felt the car being stopped, snapping out of his daze to look at his brother who was switching off the car engines and getting ready to get off without saying any words.
so jisung followed soon, unbuckling his seatbelt and sighing in dismay once he saw the huge house. it was still so foreign to him.
looking at his brother, he couldn't help but hate him. it was always about him, "your brother that, your brother this." and jisung didn't know what he did so wrong by just existing. he had dyed his hair back to black against his own will just because he thought he might get some acknowledgement from his mother.
he was following what his mother had said, he was trying to live as if he was dead but even that didn't seem to satisfy them. what could he even do?
and upon mindlessly walking into the house, he was taken straight to the outside balcony where they could have lunch. their guests were already there so jisung quickly bowed and muttered a small "hello" while taking his seat beside his brother on the dining table placed there.
the small talks took place until his aunt started praising his brother.
"seohun is so good at carrying himself, he's even a professor at Seoul University, it's really amazing."
jisung just looked at her. his father just seemed to proudly nod, ignorantly continuing to eat his steak.
"and jisung? how's your studying- oh right, you specialize in sports. everyone in our family has gone to Seoul University so i forgot for a second." she says, guiltily smiling. and jisung sees his father glaring at him from the corner of his eyes.
maybe he should do something.
"aye, my college is also really good! sports is just something people might think as inferior but it's a blessing to be good at it." jisung said, flashing his bright smile. but maybe him saying that had made the situation worse.
"i mean.. yeah i guess." his aunt bitterly mumbled, her husband having to nudge her shoulder for her to shut up since she was basically ruining the lunch.
"but my sons are far great in other things so, whatever." she commented again, and jisung could see how his father was losing patience.
"well, just because your sons attend to the same college as seohun's doesn't make them the same level." his father said rather harshly, and jisung just knew something went wrong.
