jisung was bored out of his mind.

there was nothing to do on this unwanted vacation he has. and maybe he just realised how he didn't have a social life.

but upon thinking about it more, he remembered about this grandma that he used to see often at the small restaurant that was near his old school.

there was this restaurant that he used to go when he was in high school. always ending up there either because his parents were too much or just because the food was good.

and just as he continuously went there, and sometimes even crying while eating the food, he had became a regular and a known person to the lovely grandmother who ran the shop.

she would always sit down with him and try to talk to him and at some point she had become jisung's comfort place whenever he felt out of it. he also used to rant to her about certain things.

but after graduating and moving to the university which was rather far away from the restaurant, he found it difficult to visit her or enjoy her food since he always had practice or was simply busy. or maybe because he forgot.

and now he could go again.

jisung shot up from his bed, giggling excitedly as he thought about his reunion with the grandmother and quickly started searching through his closet for clothes to wear.

he knew he didn't really have to dress up so of course he went with his usual hoodie and loose pants. quickly putting on his converse shoes as he couldn't wait to finally meet her.

he was about to exit his apartment but stopped when he realised he almost forgot his phone because of his excitement. after completing that task of going back into room and grabbing his phone, he basically sped off to the subway.

"halmonie!" jisung called out upon entering the small shop, and a curious head peaked out from behind the wall when they heard the call.

"oh my! jisungie?!" the grandmother was already wiping her hands on the apron she was wearing, trudging her way towards jisung with tiny steps because of her old figure while jisung smiled brightly at her and walked towards her too.

"it's so great to see you again! where were you, oh my god!" she exclaimed while finally being able to pull jisung into a warm embrace to which the boy happily accepted it.

"it's really nice to meet you too, halmae. i missed you so much." jisung said, shooting her a soft pout when they pulled away from the warming hug and she laughed with her whole heart.

"i missed you too, you rascal. why didn't you come visit me sooner?" she asked, forcing jisung to sit down on one of the empty tables. jisung noticed how the shop was entirely empty except a middle aged man somewhere in the corner enjoying his meal.

"I'm sorry, i guess i was just too busy." jisung said sadly, pouting at her yet again and she ruffled his soft hair.

"so what brings you here now?" she questioned while narrowing her eyes and jisung gasped dramatically while putting a hand on his heart.

"i can't even visit you now?! so mean!"

"hey, you know that's not what i meant!" the old lady replied while laughing at the antics of the young adult who laughed with her.

"i know i know, i just missed you a lot and I'm finally free so it's good!" jisung said happily while bouncing in his seat as the lady took a seat in front of him.

"oh? how's that?" of course she would ask.

and jisung sighed upon that.

"well, i somehow was forced into a break from university because of well um... something happening and now i have nothing to do, and i remembered you so i came here." he finished off with a smile and the grandma didn't intend on asking anymore further than what he explained.
