jisung blankly stared outside the window. his brother was driving the car, taking him to god knows where.
"hyung..." he barely whispered, resting his head on the windowsill out of pure tiredness. his mind stopped thinking for a while, just enjoying the cool night breeze that hit him from the open window.
"what?" he heard a reply back.
"where are we going?" jisung asked, his eyes closing for a second.
"where do you want to go?"
jisung's eyes immediately opened, looking up at his brother in shock. "wh-what?" he asked again out of uncertainty, thinking he might have heard things.
"what?" his brother looked at him for a second too, both of them falling into confusion with each other's words.
"what?" jisung asked back again, his head now off the window and looking at his brother who just scoffed and smiled.
he SMILED.
jisung was internally panicking. was his brother trying to do something? did he have ulterior motives on suddenly being nice?
and that too he smiled??? that emotionally unavailable person he always knew his brother was?
"jisung I can see everything you're thinking on your face. you should try to hide it." his brother threw a joke at him.
oh my gosh, jisung was gonna faint. what was his brother doing. what was seohun trying to do.
oh my god oh my god oh my god-
he could feel the tears pricking at his eyes from the overwhelming feelings taking over him, staring at his brother in disbelief as his figure got blury with every second.
and soon he was crying all over again, soft sobs escaping his lips and even through the blurriness, he saw his brother flashing him a look of worry.
"w-whats wrong? what happened- wh-why are you crying?" seohun asked with a slight panic in his voice, having to drive and focus on this tiny boy crying in the passenger seat was quite hard.
"w-why are you suddenly being nice to me?? don't do that-" jisung managed to say through his sobs, his voice rather high pitched nd wobbly due to his continuous sniffles and sobs.
"oh gosh." was all seohun said before he broke into a smile again.
"stop smiling!!" jisung scolded with his high pitched voice again, trying to dry the tears in his eyes and on his face, hitting seohun on his arm which made him groan.
seohun pulled over at the side of the road, since he really couldn't focus with having jisung sobbing his eyes out and driving. and he might've even crashed it with how many times he looked at the boy.
"gosh, calm down." seohun said, putting his hands on jisung's shoulder and looking at his messed up eyes and face which had him slightly heartbroken.
"i-i- can't-" jisung managed to say, sobbing loudly and putting his hands over his face out of embarrassment from crying so much.
seohun tried to reach over to the other side after removing his seatbelt, lightly hugging jisung's shoulder and patting him on the head to have him calm down but jisung seemed to start crying more. and it made him panic more, removing his hands from the boy in a sudden motion as if it was infecting jisung.
"why a-are you suddenly doing this!-" jisung spoke again, being cut off by his own sobs and at this point, he couldn't even see the silhouette of his brother.
seohun just watched him with sad eyes, sighing and moving back again to hug jisung and the boy just let him.
"im sorry... i know a sorry doesn't solve everything but i was just thinking and i realised how much i didnt think about how you thought about me saying you dont have a family.. and quite literally everything.." seohun said, and jisung calmed down a bit, suddenly having an explanation like that had his head spin but he tried to listen.
