"You big bitch." Emma says with a pout as I look at her and my friends on FaceTime.
"What?" I ask.
"You and Megan are staring in another movie?" Talia asks.
I'm on FaceTime with the Harris', the Martin's, the Morgan's, the Heath's, the Jónsdóttir's, the Press', the Maxwell's, and Ash and Ali.
So basically all of my friends
"I told you I was." I say.
The movie I'm in is called Jump and it's a true story about an Ugandan woman who was a child soldier in the late 80s and early 90s then she was saved by UN Peacekeepers, brought to America, adopted by an American couple, won Gold medals and is now thriving in America.
"You're all going to the premier." I say.
"...I knew that." Emma says.
"Mhmm." I say then I pout. "You owe me cuddles for calling me a big bitch."
"I guess that can be arranged." My cousin and best friend says.
"Yay." I cheer. "Hey later tonight can one of you check on Kara?"
"Uh sure." Megan says.
"What's going on?" Kristie Maxwell asks as I start to get dressed for my teammates and I's team bonding activity tonight.
Myself and my lakers teammates are in New York now after beating the Celtics yesterday 130-122.
Tonight we're going to the new Topgolf thing that just opened here in NYC.
"Kara's having dinner and a meeting with her family tonight." I say then I see all my friends roll their eyes. "My thought's exactly."
"We'll check on her." Megan says
"Thanks." I say then I sigh. "I hate road trips."
"Same." My friends say.
Being neighbors with your best friends is pretty awesome.
We hang out at someone's house every night which is a great ending to our stressful days.
"When do you come home?" Christen asks.
"Either late February 4th or early February 5th." I say.
"Boo." My friends say.
"Sorry." I say.
"I guess we'll live." Emma dramatically say.
I chuckle then we all say bye and hang up.
After I hang up, I continue getting dressed.
Once I'm dressed, I harness up Luna, grab everything I need for tonight, then Luna and I leave our room and head down to the lobby of the hotel we're staying at.
We're staying at The Ritz-Carlton New York near Central Park.
Once in the Lobby, my teammates, Luna, and I get on the team bus then we head to the new Topgolf place.
The new Topgolf place overlooks the Hudson so it should be cool to hit golf balls at.
As we're driving I see a billboard that catches my eye
"When did Carmelo join the Nets?" I ask as I see a Brooklyn Nets billboard with Carmelo Anthony on it.
"Uh like the second week of January." AD says.
"Oh." I say.
Well that could be awkward tomorrow.
I may or may not have had sex with Carmelo's ex wife last year.
"Here we are." Someone says as we pull up to Topgolf.
Once the bus is parked, all of us get off the bus, head inside Topgolf, then we get lead up to the top floor which has been rented out and secured for us.
When we get to our floor, I follow my teammates to the end bays then we split up into two bays and set up the golf simulator thing.
After our bay is set up, I order food on the tablet on the table.
I order a chicken Caesar salad, sweet potato fries, and a coke for myself then I order chicken strips, fries, and water for Luna.
After I order food, I get a text from Kara.
"Ooh." I mumble when I see it's a picture then I look at the picture my girl sent me.

"Did you see the thing your girlfriend's ex did?" Russ asks as I text my girlfriend that I'll be home soon and I can't wait to kiss her.
"I did." I say with a smirk as I look up.
The day before the Celtics game, Kara went out with her friends to dinner and a SZA concert.
At the concert, Kara's ex, Stone, showed up and tried to get Kara back by performing a freestyle during his feature on one of SZA's songs.
The freestyle was all about how he's better than me and that Kara's not a lesbian.
In actuality, Kara's bisexual, but why the fuck would you invalidate someone's sexuality, especially someone who you said you loved?
Kara and her friends laughed at Stone' freestyle then SZA got pissed at him for fucking up her song and went off on him.
After the show, Kara unblocked Stone, dragged him in a text, then she blocked him again.
"It was very funny to watch." I say.
"I'm not trying to be a dick, but how did that dude every get with Kara?" Lonnie asks.
"Apparently Stone is close with Kylie Jenner's baby daddy and like everything, Kylie thought it'd be cool for them to date two best friends." I say. "One shitty one night stand later and Kara was pregnant."
This stuff is all public knowledge so I'm not putting Kara's buisness on blast.
It's public knowledge because Kara got drunk one night after her daughter was killed and responded to Stone's social media posts that he tried to use to get Kara back.
"How shitty we talking?" Someone asks.
"If I remember correctly I think Kara said less than a minute then he fell asleep."
"Damn."
"Well let's hope you can go longer." Damian teases.
"Oh I can go longer." I say with a smirk. "I can definitely go longer."
