"When'd they move to having people sit at tables?" I question as I look around the Dolby Theatre.
Tonight is the Oscars.
"Uh last year." My Dad says.
"Oh." I say. "Guess I missed that since we had a game."
"I like the tables." Kara says from the chair to my right.
"Me to." I say then I look at the doggy sitting in the chair to my left. "What'd you think Luna?"
Luna smiles at me then she looks to her right.
"Hi Luna." Megan Jónsdóttir says then Luna looks back at me.
"You and Koda look very spiffy tonight." I say as I pet my doggy.
Cairo's service dog Koda is sitting next to her.
"Are you two nervous?" My Mom asks.
At our table is myself, Kara, Luna, My Mom, My Dad, Cairo, Megan, and Koda.
My grandparents are looking after Cayman tonight and I think Cairo's assistant Nova is looking after Cairo and Megan's kids.
"Not really." I say. "Our movie kicked ass, made a fuck ton of money, and the majority of people who saw it liked it so these awards are just icing on the cake."
"I just did the movie to distract myself from...you know what." Megan says. "So if we win an award then that's a bonus."
"Look at you two media trained pooheads." My Mom says.
"Hey." I say. "Koda get her."
Cairo's service dog smiles at me then she leans her head on My Mom's arm.
"Traitor." I say
Koda woofs at me then she looks at Cairo.
"Hey that's your battle not mine." Cairo says then the ceremony begins so we all look to the stage as the host walks out on stage.
While the host does his speech, I look at the picture of my movie's nominees that's on the table.

After the hosts speech, the first award of the night, Best Supporting Actress, is presented.
"...and the Oscar goes too." Emily Blunt says then she opens the envelope.
"Come on." I mumble.
"Megan Jónsdóttir." Emily Blunt says.
"WHEW." Cairo cheers then everyone at our table stands up and hugs Megan.
After we hug her, we all sit down as Megan walks on to the stage and grabs her award then she does her speech.
"Stupid emotions." Kara mumbles as we listen to Megan's speech.
