Warren

"He's inside sir," Tristan informs me.

Opening the door to the warehouse I step inside and find the culprit tied to a chair. His dark eyes find me immediately and a smirk itches his lips.

My fingers curl into fists but I inhale a deep breath. Extending a chair in front of him I sit down and get rid of my jacket.

"You gave me a long run." I fold my sleeves up to my elbows and lean forward on my knees.

"You can kill me." Victor, the thief, gruffs out in a nonchalant tone.

"I will." I know fear well enough to detect it. And the bastard is crippling in terror, under the tough exterior he's putting on.

"What are you waiting for?" My fist hits his cheek so hard that my bones displace under my skin.

"Revenge." I punch him across the jaw and hear the crack in the bone. Strangely, the sick twisted part of me savors the sound of it.

For minutes I take fun at every blow I land on him. I break his four fingers, crack his nose, bruise his stomach and give him a severe concussion. Still, the feral rage in me boils down to nothing.

I can feel my knuckles hurting from the hits, but I want to carry on until he's a bloody mess-not that he isn't already.

"Sir. We've found it." Tristan walks in carrying an envelope.

With bloody hands, I open the envelope and find the necklace lying safe at the bottom of it. The sight of it is the only calm that quietens the calamitic storm in me.

Taking the gun from the table I listen to the clicking sound as I load it. Pointing it straight at the asshole, my fingers tremble with the desire to kill him. But I know once I'll do it, they'd be no coming back from this act.

I won't have remorse. But I'll have a secret that I'll hide from Evelyn. Because once she knows nothing will be the same between us.

"If I see you around her ever again, I'll pull this fucking trigger. You'll end up ten feet under before you'll be able to find your next fix."

The low murmur is all I need.

Walking out of the warehouse I turn to Aiden. "Send him to another continent. I don't want to see him ever again."

"Okay, sir."

I take a step but another thought crosses my mind. "His family. I want them to be taken care of. Send me a bill and I'll see through it."

Getting inside my car, I drive head fast to the Bluebird Design. From the window I see the hustle and bustle taking place in her company.

I open the car door but stop when I see the blotches of blood on my hands. My white dress shirt has splatters of red too.

Fuck! I can't let her see me like this.

Making a turn I reach my penthouse and take a shower. Getting dressed I leave for the company instead of sulking around in my room.

I email Kenna to get me lunch, that way she'd be out of my way when I arrive at the office.

After a long ride, I approach my office and get to work. For the past week, I've missed out on a lot of meetings and paperwork to spend time with Evelyn. And now it's all waiting for me at my desk.

Kenna gets me lunch. We arrange my schedule for the next week and I get calls done and sign the paperwork.

Time passes by so fast that when I lift my phone to check time. It's ten-twenty PM.
