Warren
How difficult could it be to tie a knot? Fucking impossible apparently. I've been trying my luck at it for the past fifteen minutes but the material of the tie keeps slipping through my movements. I do this every fucking day.
Yanking it from around my neck I throw it on the bed and change into a black dress shirt and leave the collar open. Slipping on my jacket I spritz my Versace cologne that has an appealing scent, and exit my penthouse.
I gave the evening off to all my staff. Paul almost choked on his breakfast when I broke the news to him and gave me a concerned look which I ignored.
I admit I hardly let my staff get away with an off, but the way Aiden, Tristan and Paul responded to me, made me question myself. For only a second.
My mind is a space where other people's opinions don't exist.
I am what I think of me.
No one can know me better than myself.
Parking my black Rolls Royce in the parking lot I look up at the balcony that belongs to Evelyn. It's flowing with golden light from the inside and I can see shadows moving.
Pulling out my phone I text her.
Once silence settles in the car my heartbeats echo in my ears.
I'm privy of the fact that I'm fucking nervous which is absurd as I've only ever felt like that thrice in my life.
1- When I kissed Evelyn for the first time
2- When I started my company
3- When I gave my first speech at a university
I can easily count those moments on one hand. Yet I've never felt this anxious before in my life.
At once I catch a flicker of red in the lobby. Quickly getting out of the car I lean against it.
My hands are quivering a little. It must be the November air. Slipping them in my slacks pockets I clench them in a fist to get rid of the tingles exploding under my skin.
Evelyn walks out capturing the attention of every single man in the vicinity. I don't blame them (I want to kill them all). I can barely take my eyes off the woman as she approaches me.
Heels stop a few inches away from me and I take in the exquisite sight of her.
The silk clings to her curves and accentuates her figure that is the most perfect thing in the world. The ends of the material halt a few inches down her knees and expose her bronze legs. My eyes trail to her neckline that is deep, barely leaving her cleavage to imagination.
Blood rushes to the part of my body that shouldn't be getting aroused for her especially when we've got a long night ahead of us. But I can't help it.
The sight of her makes me so hard that I want to take her without wasting a single second.
Stalking closer she puts her hand on my arm and gets closer to my face. "Hi." Placing a soft kiss on my cheek she tries to back away but I stop her by holding her elbow.
"That's not how you greet your boyfriend." Dipping my head I claim her lips that feel warm and taste like wine.
I'm not the only one who's nervous tonight.
Cupping the back of her head I prolong the kiss, wanting to get drunk on her lips.
"Remember this for future reference." I nip her mouth a few times and finally give her time to breathe in air.
