It all started out okay. Danae got a good start and I had a sword (Danae's doing. It's pure silver with neon teal streaks) that could draw blood from a single tap. But then things went wrong. I guess we forgot that they had spent years doing this. And us... More like a week or less. Sasori cut down Danae's wolves like they were corn stalks. Deidara stayed out of my range and sent down bombs. I skidded to a halt, back to back with Danae. "Shit," She hissed.
A nasty cut had made it's way onto her cheek. I glared at the two guys who'd decided that they owned us. "Well? I'd hate to have to kill you. And Itachi would hate that as well." Sasori sneered. "Yeah, well, Itachi's options are worth shit to me!" I screamed. "Now that just hurts, Layna." Itachi appeared out of the shadows and grabbed Danae. She jumped (or would've, but Itachi the asshole was there) and tried to squirm out of his grip. "You know, I am technically family. Even to the government here." He smiled coldly and held up a document. "Now I'm related to you, in both worlds."
I lunged at him, wanting to tear the stupid thing into shreds and forget they all existed. Itachi released Danae and disappeared. "Since you're clearly confused, let me give you advice." His voice cooed. "Without us, you don't have a home. Without a home, you have... Nothing." At he word nothing the world dropped. Blackness covered every inch of my sight. "Why don't I let you in on a secret. Pein wants you dead. I was sent here to kill you. But I don't want to. So come with me, and I'll show you we really aren't that bad." He said. Danae stood next to me, spinning around and looking in confusion. I clenched my fists. "Fine." I spat. Then the blackness spun until a fell over. I didn't stop falling until I appeared in the base. "Welcome back."
