Backstory:-

Ai was being experimented on non-stop since her birth at Enma Labs, an unknown organization that's thought to be existing underground outside of Japan. She underwent horrible, near-death situations; had her body sliced up for regeneration tests, had some of her bones liquified and replaced, and removed several organs to put new ones.

Majority of the tests were done on her blood and her brain. Eventually, the electrical machines and the continuous experiments led to severe brain malfunctions. All those tragic effects led to Ai losing grip on her mentality, later getting diagnosed with ADHD, as well as Tourette's Syndrome and repeated grand or petit mal seizures.

Ai somehow escaped the Labs, and she met Mori Ougai, who took her in, about the same time he took Dazai Osamu in. Ai became close friends with Dazai, since they shared a lot in common, mainly their twisted minds. Dazai was almost always seen with her, and he was aware of her story. However, when both were tasked to find out about Arahabaki, and meeting Nakahara Chuuya in the process, their friendship was paused for some time.

With Oda Sakunosuke's death, and with Dazai leaving the Port Mafia, Ai was once again left in the darkness of her mind. Few months later, she also left when finding out that Mori only took her in because of her strength and her Ability, which made her despise him for taking advantage of her for several years. Joining the Armed Detective Agency, she was reunited with Dazai, and met new colleagues and humans who actually accept her despite not being human or being mentally unstable.

Ai's body cannot digest human food, and she's disgusted by the mere sight or smell of it. Her body regains energy from sleep, countless medication, and human flesh. Or at least some blood to keep her awake in case she's physically tired.

Being a half-Ghoul, Ai can release what she calls "Kagune", fro, different parts of her back. It's not an Ability, therefore it cannot be nullified by No Longer Human. Ai uses it only when needed, but she loves to use them when jumping from one building go another to reach her destination quickly. She has to stretch them every now and then, which is taken care of by Yosano Akiko.

Physical Appearance:-

Long, silky hair. White, but a little black at the top of her head. White eyelashes, and messy, kinda long bangs. Her eyes are a pale shade of white, almost a very light grey. Light scars under her eyes, not very noticeable. Her clothes consist of a black shirt, its sleeves pulled up, and formal black shorts. She has a holster at her right thigh, but it doesnt hold a gun, it holds several knives. A short, white, sleeveless jacket that hides countless small knives with uneven endings. Black boots that have detachable blades and wheels "for fun" according to Ai. Finally, a dark crimson tie.

Personality:-

Ai's mentality is highly unstable, therefore she cannot control her excited and energetic self. She's almost always grinning, even when fighting or shedding blood. She can rarely be calm, and when she is, she'd be really passionate and a bit sleepy. Sure, she is a maniac sometimes, but she can be gentle if she wanted to. In the end, one injection from Akiko and Ai would be partially numb for a while in case she got too hyperactive.

Fun Facts:-

Ai used to be Akutagawa Ryuunosuke's mentor. (I decided to change the fact that Dazai was the one not Ai)

She's absolutely, wholeheartedly, deeply devoted to Fukuzawa. She finds him much more better than Mori, and she's happy that he accepted her as one of them.

Since Ai cant control herself at certain situations, the Agency made a small, light-weighted device for her. The device is on her left arm, close to her elbow. It has a needle that's connected to her vessels. Whenever Fukuzawa, Dazai or Akiko sense that things arent going to end well, they send a signal for the device to release a liquid into Ai's vessels, causing her brain to process less quickly, then making her body go limp. This tactic is used to control Ai in times she begins to show signs of losing control over herself.

Ai lives in the same dorm as Dazai, she didnt want to be alone, and Fukuzawa couldn't guarantee that she wont do anything irresponsible, so Dazai decided that it would be best to share a large dorm with her so he can keep a close eye on her.

Ai is a virgin, and she has absolutely no idea about ~it~ or what love is. Hell, she was born in experimental labs, how in Chuuya's hat would she know? Dazai knows that she doesnt know, and he doesnt want to tell her what love is just yet.

Ai is the only one who truly cares for Dazai. He had always kept his distance from others so that they wont get bothered if he passed away. But for some reason, Ai had always been there for him. She always asks if he recently changed his bandages, or if he had eaten properly. Dazai doesnt get it, but he always smiles warmly at her regardless.

Ai has scars and labels all over her body. Since the Labs didnt refer to her with a name, they used nicknames for her that are engraved in certain parts of her skin since she was few weeks old. Such as "Subject 97194" or "AXI-590-275" and such that are easier for the scientists to memorize. She was never given a name, actually. The name "Ai" was a nickname Dazai gave her back at the Port Mafia, and it became her actual name later.
