~ Nakajima Rei ~

This one is also extremely different from the actual BSD universe, and I literally twisted the whole thing to come up with something new, something that would make it special. So, this would be a lot like the Beast AU, only that Aku, Gin, and Chuuya are all in the Agency. While Atsushi, Rei's biological twin, is in the Port Mafia, and I couldn't make Dazai take Mori's place, bc no it felt weird to me. So yes, Mori is the Mafia's boss as always, and Dazai is Aku and Rei's mentor.

You can say that Atsushi took Aku's desire for validation. Aku is approved of and well taken care of by Dazai here, while Atsushi is left in the dumps. Both were in the Port Mafia along with Dazai, until Odasaku's death and all that. Dazai basically took Aku with him out of the Port Mafia, and left Atsushi alone by himself.

Also, the ones who ive mentioned switched roles, their outfits are the same as those in the Beast AU, such as Aku, he wears a light brown coat instead of a black one, and he's also less tense and serious here, as for Gin, she wears a normal suit, basically the same as the Beast

Nakajima Rei

Skill: Beast Beneath the Moonlight

Transforms into a white tiger, entirely or particularly. But she's unable to control herself in her full tiger form. This Ability also allows her to heighten/sharpen her senses and heal her wounds, regardless of wether they're severe or not. However, Rei gets physically tired after transforming into her tiger form, making her often transform partially at will.

Backstory:- 

Rei and Atsushi lived in an orphanage their entire lives. Abuse never stopped with them, wether it was verbal, physical, or emotional. Both siblings were often together, and sometimes they would separated by the [shit]headmaster, something they both feared. Atsushi, who was the older twin, often tried to protect his sister, and he used to take some of the beatings instead. Meanwhile Rei was the one who would attempt to comfort him by rubbing his wounds and crying over him. However, when Atsushi would accidentally transform into a tiger, he'd attack Rei, and such frequent incidents left countless scars on Rei's fragile body.

When they were 15 years old, Atsushi had changed a lot, he began neglecting his sister and refusing her help. Not to mention how he'd also get into fits of anger and attack her too by hitting her with anything he could find, he usually never stopped unless Rei fainted and was drowning in her own blood. Later, Atsushi somehow managed to escape from the orphanage after killing one of its leaders, leaving Rei alone. He abandoned her willingly, saying that she was weak, and she has to endure everything on her own now.

After Atsushi's departure, the headmaster abused Rei even more. As to why she would let her brother escape, and why did she allow him to become such a cruel person to her. Ever since, Rei was on her own, mourning her brother and praying for the best for him in whatever way he chooses. It is true that he abused her along with the headmaster, but she couldn't help but feel sorry for the both of them. She loved him dearly either way. Rei was kicked out at the age of 18, leaving her truly devastated and on the brink of death, until she met Dazai.

Physical Appearance:-

Pretty much like Atsushi in her natural appearance. Her body is small in size, but looks feminine enough. Scars cover her entire skin, including two tiger claws as scratches on both of her eyes. Unlike her brother, she's physically stronger than him, even without using her Ability. Her outfit is the exact same as Atsushi's, but her pants are shorter that they expose her scarred thighs. Her belt is also long, and it often hangs loosely. Her hair is medium in length, it reaches her shoulders, while other strands are a bit longer. Fluffy and comforting to ruffle. Her front hair is arranged in long curtain bangs. The only difference in her outfit and Atsushi's canon one is that she wears a black choker that was given to her by Nakahara Chuuya.

Personality:-

Calm and gentle to the point that others can easily use her. Worries a lot, and she often panics on small things, such as not finding Dazai in his usual place, or Chuuya telling her that he's most likely trying to kill himself as usual. Rei blushes easily, especially at Gin's basic acts of kindness towards her. Rei, being a victim of emotional abuse, struggles to differentiate between regular kindness and love. Extremely loyal and honest. Really caring and passionate towards the younger ones in the ADA. However, she can get quite aggressive and violent when it comes to protecting others.

Fun Facts:-

In this AU, Kyouka and Koyou switched names, because guess what, ive g e n d e r b e n t Kyouka, and since Koyou is still a woman, and was originally a man in real life, it'd make sense to change their names.

Akutagawa treats Rei just like Gin. He knows how much she went through and how she struggles with self-loathing, not to mention that he knows what would happen if she came across her brother, who is a Mafia executive. Since Akutagawa knows Atsushi well, he is willing to protect Rei from her abusive brother.

Chuuya, who is the Vice President of the Agency, sees Rei as a precious little thing. He mainly tolerates and takes care of her because of one reason; her height. As soon as he found out she was 2 centimeters shorter, not only did he flex that on Dazai, but he also loves to praise Rei after a successful mission.

The main reason why the ADA took Rei in is because her brother brought a lot of harm to the Agency with him being in the Port Mafia. His Ability was extremely dangerous and strong, making him a hard opponent, even for Akutagawa. So as soon as they knew that there's someone related to him by blood, they immediately set out to find her before the Mafia does, or else the Port Mafia would easily become the strongest organization with two of the strongest Ability Users.

Writing this was oddly satisfying, probably bc im writing this using a keyboard, and not directly using the iPad. Also, im listening to "Rises the Moon" while typing, AND im fasting... so yes i feel rlly calm rn :)
