Standing on platform 9 3/4 makes me question a lot of things. Like how I ended up here when I was supposed to be banned from the school. Or how I should've probably wore more comfortable shoes. Or maybe how unreal all of this feels.
I still can't believe I am goin to Hogwarts.
My trip here has been rather exciting. Like the search for my new books and school supplies. My old school had all of the supplies there since they wanted everyone to own the same thing as the other. It was easier that way but I'm glad to have more freedom on what school supplies I want now.
I wonder how different Hogwarts is going to be from Beauxbatons. I think I'm ready for whatever comes this year. It's just another school for wizards, it can't be that bad right?
A man yelling for all to go aboard interrupts my thoughts. I start to gather my things quickly, feeling pressured by everyone boarding the train.
I get on the train and look for a free booth to sit, but before I can take one more step, I hear a voice behind me.
"I've never seen you here before. You must be the new student." I turn to see a girl with long blonde, wavy hair. "You should probably find a seat quickly. They crowd really fast."
She had this sort of voice that sounded smooth and pleasant. Like the sound of a stream in the forest. It was like something hard to find on other people.
"Oh," I smile. "Do you want to look for one with me?"
She lazily smiles. "No, I have already found one. My name is Luna Lovegood. Pleased to meet you."
And, before I could say anything else, she turned and skipped her way back to her booth. What a weird, weird girl.
I like her.
I turn and look for a compartment and, as Luna said, they're all full. I walk all the way down the hall to the second-last compartments. I check and see that there is only three people, which means I have a chance to sit with them.
I slide the door open and poke my head inside. "Hey, um, all of the compartments are full. Is there a chance that I could sit in here?"
The blonde haired boy looks at me up and down and his expression turns sour. "Who are you to ask that? Do you have no idea who my father is? Are you one of those filthy muggles or something? Oh, you must be that new student that they let in. What in the bloody hell are you wearing?"
He laughs and his friends join in. There are a lot of things that I don't take in this world, and one of them is disrespect.
"Where are your manners? Did your mother really raise you like that? Oh, I know you. You're Lucius Malfoy's son aren't you? Well the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I must remind you that your father fought mine physically and lost. If you want to recreate that scene then fine, be my guest. Talk to me like that again, I dare you. And come back to me when you have some decorum."
He looks shocked and his friends are too. I just furrow my eyebrows and slam the door shut. I huff in annoyance.
What an asshole. I'll just go see on if anyone else has an open seat.
As I turn, I meet a shocked face. It's a boy with round glasses. He's very handsome. I just give him a questioned look and he opens his mouth to say something.
"Anything from the trolley, darlings?"
I turn to see a lady with a trolley full of candy. There's everything. From magic beans to flying apples. I smile politely. "No thank you, ma'am."
I glance back at the boy. He looks familiar. I have definitely seen him some where.
He looks at me and then back at the woman. "Uh- two chocolate frogs please."
